"...a vague and abstract possible future that I may one day experience." - Untypical, by Pete Wharmby
With regards to the perception of time. Things that aren't immediate (this week at the latest) feel like a far off future for those of us with time-blindness.
Is the alchemist Razz who lives with Twist's brother the same as Pup's brother? In case you have discarded the idea of writing about the Sanses, could you tell us a little about how he ended up there and if he's still looking for Slim?
Yeah, they’re the same.
He’s not actively looking anymore. Other than that, I don’t really have any information on them. I never really intended to write more for them, so I don’t have any headcanons for them.
Audio Drama Crowdfunding Campaigns!
As you may or may not know, we’re big fans of audio drama over here at PURE. So when we heard a couple of our favorite shows are currently crowdfunding for their upcoming episodes, we were quick to contribute. Check out these campaigns:
EOS 10 is a sci-fi/comedy set on a space station in the distant future. It has often been described as Scrubs in space. And it’s absolutely hilarious. The first two seasons are available wherever you listen to podcasts, and the creator, Justin McLachlan is currently crowdfunding for the long-awaited third season. But guess what? They actually raised their initial goal of $4,000 in ONE DAY. So, with 23 days still remaining in their campaign, they’re looking to reach a bunch of stretch goals like bonus episodes and a live show.

UNTYPICAL is a western/sci-fi/fantasy audio drama that follows a crew of smugglers hopping from job to job across a bizarre and surreal world of adventures, in the vein of Firefly. Created by East Corp Productions, they are currently raising funds to produce the remaining episodes of their first season. Their pilot episode can be listened to in full on their Indiegogo page or wherever you listen to podcasts.

I’m so excited to be a part of this new audio drama podcast currently in production! It’s called “Untypical” and is created by James Vermont and East Corp Productions. It’s a sci-fi/fantasy/western/action/adventure story in the vein of “Firefly.” I play the supporting role of Delilah, who is a gun-for-hire turned information broker. And this promo is one of my profiles of the story’s lead protagonist, Jessica. More coming soon!
I feel like that is a conversation that twist and his bro had/would have before twist kidnaps/finds his first magical boyfriend
😂
You’re absolutely right!
Although it doesn’t end very well for Twist.
(In reference to this.)
In Untypical, Bakeneko Sans must really love Blackberry, and I imagine even in his age he never got over his ‘cat happy to see you’ tendencies, especially when Blackberry is cooking. Food and feeding is definitely a sign of love with cats, and it was probably cute when Sans was a kitten, or a 30-year-old cat, but not so much as a fully grown skeleton bakeneko rubbing on him as he tries to make dinner for the hoard
Aw, that’s adorable!
You know, I confess that I’d hoped giving Sans some cat-like qualities might make it easier to write for him, but I’m afraid it really hasn’t. >_< I’m afraid I likely won’t be contributing anything more to Untypical. It’s really unfortunate, since there is a lot of potential there, and I hate to leave threads unexplored, but it is what it is.
How immortal are the untypicals?
Everyone but Plum is equally immortal–not impervious to harm, but unable to die of old age. Razz is an alchemist and he successfully (but accidentally) managed to make himself immortal. He doesn’t actually know what he did, though, and it drives him nuts.
Plum is mortal. But Plum is also an irredeemable asshole, so no one really gets too torn up about that.
