Hehe thank your for answering my ask about Kregg :-) A bit of a miscommunication on my part though was if Kregg was already readers bf? How would Thragg approach that kind of situation:))

If Kregg was already Reader's boyfriend, I actually think Thragg would handle it very differently than if it were just a random human. Kregg is one of his most trusted men, so he isn't someone Thragg plans to just kill off. He could, but he wouldn't want to do that.

That said, I don't think Kregg being your boyfriend would stop him.

Thragg would likely view you as something that ultimately belongs to the Empire and him, not to Kregg. He'd probably expect Kregg to stand aside out of loyalty. It would become less of a love triangle and more of a test of Kregg's allegiance: does he obey his Emperor, or protect the person he loves?

Thragg does acknowledge that Kregg seems to 'love' the humans that he picks as his mates but that doesn't matter to Thragg. Thragg has decided that he wants you to be his, and that is going to happen. Period.

And if Kregg chose you over the Empire? Well Kregg better hope he can find a galaxy that Thragg won't search for for the both of you in. 👀

How would Unwanted Devotion play out if the boyfriend was Kregg?

You just get added to his harem! lol

Thragg's comes from a place of obsession and control. Once he decides you're his, he's almost impossible to escape because he'll literally get all the Viltrumites on Earth to come and grab you if he thinks it's necessary. He wants you, he's going to get you. He's the Emperor after all.

Kregg, on the other hand, is a loyal soldier first. He's far more pragmatic. He'd probably approach the relationship less like an all-consuming fixation and more like, "Ah perfect, Thragg wants a bigger population of half-Viltrumites, I want you, it'll happen!" He possibly would be more 'respectful' than that of Thragg (i.e not killing your boyfriend lol) since he knows not to draw attention as they're meant to be blending in, but you'd still have his attention, can either be a good or bad thing depending on how you look at it.
