I'm frozen, I can't move on

Tinnitus splits through my

concentration,

as trains prattle on near city lines,

wheels spin as the ground vibrates,

my knees ache as the dusty gravel bites

into bruised skin, rocks chew through the 

thin black fabric, I long to stretch,

flex, extend my petrified limbs, 

but I'm rigid and my muscles hardly twitch,

stiff, a corpse, rigor mortis.

I attempt to dip to the side and find

relief, but my joints crunch, unyielding

to the new position.
