Athena was pacing the living room. May had just come home to do her laundry a few hours ago and Athena had confronted her about how distant she was being. That was when May finally broke down and confessed what had been bothering her. A professor at her school had been making inappropriate advances and she didn't know what to do. So, she had gone to Bobby.

Athena's emotions were all over the place. She was enraged that some creep would make her baby uncomfortable. She was also hurt that Bobby would keep this whole thing from her. And that May didn't feel like she could come to her. The whole thing was one big betrayal and with that on top of the anger she was feeling towards the professor? She was ready to explode. She had been pacing for an hour, since May left, and was waiting for Bobby.

Sofia had moved to California to start over, to create a new life for herself. But there were some traditions she was not ready to part with, and one of those was taking a car full of homemade baked goods over to the firehouse for Corin’s birthday. She didn’t know anyone at the local firehouse, and she had no intention of doing it in his name - it would simply be a gesture of appreciation - but she was going to do it just the same. So for days leading up to his birthday, if she wasn’t at work, she was at home baking. And when she was finally finished, and didn’t have to go into work until that night, she loaded up her car and drove over to the fire station. She was opening up the back right as a man was walking past her, and she offered him a small smile, “I may have gone just a little bit overboard.” A beat passed before she added, “Can you tell me where I can drop these off for everyone at the station?”

They had met on several occasions during meetings. Some where easier than others. That one, had even been harder for him. It was just one of those days.

"Okay." Jack replied as the firefighter verbalized what he had been suspecting that was happening. "Let's sit down..." he offered and put a hand on the other's arm while in sight to guide him down. "Focus on your breathing, in and out...I'm right here with you, nothing's gonna happen that you don't want to." he reassured him.

Jack sat down next to him, in a way that they could look at each other and in a way that he could give physical touch if that was what the other needed. "You get them often?"

"In the end it wasn't that it didn't matter, it was that I didn't matter." Maybe Buck had no reason to be this upset, to let his parents get under his skin this much. But he had spent his entire life craving their approval, trying to get them to pay attention to him and they never did. They didn't want him, they made that very clear and maybe it was just time that he accepted it.

Owen manages to push the debris off of himself and gets to his feet, staggering a bit as he holds his side. He's not bleeding, but he's sure some bone in him is broken, and he's so full of adrenaline and in shock that he's unaware of it.

He staggers over to Bobby and drops to his knees next to him. "Nash?" He speaks softly, reaching a hand out to touch the other. "Bobby?!" He shouts louder to get the other to look at him. "C'mon, Bobby." Owen shakes him and sighs softly as Bobby starts to come around. "Thank god, you're okay." He reaches for his radio and presses it to try and get a signal; nothing happens; the radio is dead. "Damn it."

The building had come down on them before they could get out. It was like 9-11 all over again; this time, Owen was inside when the building collapsed.
