Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma has announced that the UP Board Class 12th Exams 2021 have been cancelled keeping in mind the health of students & teachers. The decision comes after several Boards of Education including CBSE, CISCE, Haryana Board, Gujarat Board etc announced cancellation of their Class 12 Board Exams 2021. It is to be noted that UP Board was due to announce the fresh dates for UP Board 12th Exams 2021 in June 2021 and the exams were expected to be held in July 2021. The Exam Duration was also been reduced from the earlier 3 hours to 90 Minutes. The UP Government has also announced the closure of all schools in the state currently. Earlier, the Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) was scheduled to conduct the Intermediate (Class 12) Examinations 2021 from 8th May 2021 with the Hindi Paper and ending on 28th May 2021. A total of 26,09,501 students registered for the UP Board 12th Exams 2021, of the total 56 lakh students who registered for the UPMSP Board Examinations 2021. The Uttar Pradesh Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad (UPMSP) has announced that the Intermediate Board Exams 2021 will be held in the month of April-May 2021. The Dates for the Board Exams 2021 are 24th April 2021 to 12th May 2021. The Board Exams will start from Hindi. The safety of the students will be given the highest priority by the board. The Board exams 2021 will be conducted with strict covid protocols issued by the central and state governments. The students have to wear face masks while giving the papers. UPMSP has also announced that the Inter Practical Exams 2021 will be held in two phases — first phase from February 3 to 12, 2021 at exam centers in Agra, Saharanpur, Bareilly, Lucknow, Jhansi, Chitrakoot, Faizabad, Mirzapur, Devipatan and Basti zones and the second from February 13 to 22, 2021 at centres in Aligarh, Meerut, Muradabad, Kanpur, Prayagraj, Varanasi, Azamgarh and Gorakhpur.
