How Southeast Supply Co Goes Green
The Southeast Supply Co is all about appreciating the finer, older things in life and all of their wonderful details that tell a story that no other item has.
It's true what they say: one person's trash is another person's treasure. Here, you'll find one-of-a-kind items that lived a past life, but were rejected, abandoned, or forgot about for one reason or another. We hope to bring these treasure new life in a home where they would be appreciated once more. This is upcycling and reusing what was once junk in the most sincerest way!
Aside from upcycling and reusing old items into new treasure, Southeast Supply Co has other efforts to be a mean, green, fighting machine!
Our cards and hangtags are made from 100% recycled cotton t-shirts, courtesy of MOO.
We ship orders either by reusing boxes or using eco-friendly packaging made from post-consumer waste.
We also minimize our waste footprint by reusing bubble wrap and package fillers.
How can I go green when I shop?
There are many ways you can help Mother Earth and lower your waste footprint.
Extend the life of our packaging: Do you throw away our packaging materials? Is there someway you can reuse it and reduce waste? You can reuse tissue or filler in gift or moving boxes
If you don't reuse boxes, make an effort to recycle them
Upcycle your used and unwanted clothing or give them to friends; only donate your clothes if that is your last resort (a majority of donated clothes in secondhand or thrift stores gets thrown out)
Hand wash clothes, especially the vintage ones!
Check out garage sales, thrift stores, consignment shops, or online sites like ebay/etsy/craigslist before you buy a brand new item. You will most likely save some money and save something from ending up in a landfill
