Chapter 1

Kon Kent has a new classmate in Metropolis, one that he has a crush on. By there are some concerning things about Danny Fenton: his nosebleeds, how he won’t eat food from home, how jumpy he is about being given things… oh, yeah, and his parents work for Lex Luthor.

Chapter 21

“Arm,” Frostbite said. Danny obediently held up his arm. “What’s the verdict, doc?” “Well, I’m afraid that you are dead,” Frostbite said somberly, though he could hardly hide the amused smile.

Dinner & Dishes

“I come bearing food and Tim!” Dick cheerfully declared. He pushed past Jason like the other wasn’t a brick wall—metaphorically and almost literately. It left Tim standing in the hall with the other bag of food and all of Jason’s attention. Tim scratched his nail against the seam of his jeans. Jason stared at Tim. Then he jerked his chin over his shoulder. “Come on in, kid. Food is getting cold. And Danny is doing something unholy to yogurt that I should probably stop.” “Ayran! It is called ayran,” someone (Tim assumed Danny) called from inside the apartment.

Chapter 1: The Haunting

Danny Fenton was being haunted. Annoyingly, that wasn’t at all unusual. Danny was sadly used to being haunted. One could even claim, if one was being pedantic, that Danny haunted himself. Sure, since Danny had moved away from Amity Park and the mess his life had been there, the haunting were a lot less frequent, but they still happened from time to time. The thing was, is this haunting was different. Different in a way that made Danny worried about the ghost and their well-being.

Chapter One

Life is going pretty well for Danny Fenton. He's a top engineer at Wayne Enterprises, has an apartment full of plants, and is resolutely ignoring his ghostly side. Or at least he was until a run in with Poison Ivy's plants resulted in a night spent cuddling some Bats as a giant, otherwordly bird. (Or birdritch, if one would rather.) Danny is more than a little embarrassed in the morning and more than a little confused when his life starts filling up with Waynes over the next few weeks. Why did Bruce Wayne have to be so charming? And why did his family have to feel like home?

Chapter 13

And then a scream split the air. Not a human scream, thankfully, but a repeated screech that had both of them starting and looking around for the source. The screech turned to a warbling clucking as Jerry emerged from behind the landscaping. His tail was high and spread, his wing tips brushed the ground, and he was looking almost shockingly colorful. “A turkey?” “Damian’s.” “Damian has a turkey,” Danny said slowly.

Chapter 15

“Where is Damian?” “Damian and Tim are too attached to Danny,” Jason explained. Tim froze. “Uh, guys, I’m right here?” “Yep!” Dick chirped. “But you like answers enough to go against your own emotions.” “…yeah, okay, fine, fair,” Tim sighed and slumped back into the chair he had claimed. “So, this is about Danny?” “I don’t trust him,” Jason said bluntly as he wiped some juice from Lian’s chin.

Chapter 9

Danny dropped his hands from his face and leaned back in his chair. He blinked up at the ceiling, trying not to just burst into frustrated tears. The ceiling was perfectly smooth and perfectly white, save for right over the meeting table where there was an odd, slightly orange spot from a food fight that Gar had started (and Danny had been very glad to have intangibility for). Someone had been upset that day, Flash, maybe, and Danny was pretty sure that the food fight was just to cheer people up. It had worked, too, even if food was now banned from the meeting room. Ancients, Danny could use some of Gar’s good mood right then. He didn’t want to do this.
