Hello! I have an ask relating to some of the latest updates in IM, so I wanna keep it vague for spoilers in case anyone who isn't caught up is also reading this. But recently we've had some new lore related to the Circus revealed, and I was wondering if that lore will still apply/be relevant here too?

Or, I guess more broadly, are the changes to the overall story, plot, lore, etc. in this au be exclusively due to the changes in Bendy, Boris, and the Cupbros backstories, or are there other factors that have changed unrelated to them that contribute to this au's difference from the main story?

Sorry if that doesn't really make sense I'm not sure how to properly word my question ^^;

There are absolutely lore things from IM that also apply in the Just a Step to the Left series! One of the perks of working so close with Tap and M on IM is that I've known a lot of the lore reveals waaaaaaaay in advance and have been subtly working some of them into this series. The micco lore reveals aren't the only thing, either. :3

Most of the changes for this series are a result of things playing out differently five years (ten for IM) before the story starts. A lot of major events happened for everyone that year. Bendy was brought to the Upper (Surface for IM), Cup and Mugs fought the Devil, and Boris is separated from his birth pack and ends up at an orphanage. For this series, there are a lot of big things that those three events happening differently change for a lot of characters.

(There is currently one character who is not the right age compared to their IM counterpart, but that's more an oops on my part when I was figuring out everyone's ages . . .)

We are already seeing how things are different for Alice and Jake, Cazziel just changed his whole career, and Ortensia and the rest of the Circus crew are claiming Bendy as one of theirs. Cup and Mugs getting "the good ending" has toppled a whole tower of cards by freeing the Isles debtors and created several issues for the Devil. The changes from Boris aren't as far-reaching, but I hope they will be felt when we reach certain characters.

Hello! While reading I noticed mentions of newborn bunny kids arriving in groups of around 6 or 8 and that got me wondering about what birthdays for the bunny kids actually look like? And will we ever see any bunny kid birthdays in the future perhaps?

In Chapter 14 - Cotton Candy Parade, Bendy mentions that the bunnies come in litters of 6-13. Those litters have arrived approximately every 30 days, give or take a few days. The circus tends to pick one day a month to celebrate all the birthdays that will be taking place that month and then throw a party for all of them together. They have cake and games, and the birthday individuals get first pick.

And we might get to see a circus birthday celebration. After all, someone has to ask when a certain special birthday comes up again. ;3

Heyo! Just wanted to give y'all an update! Life has been pretty crazy, so most of my writing time has been focused on Inky Mystery, main and side story things. However, I have gotten some character arcs figured out that I was stuck on, and have started writing more chapters for this series! I want to build a little bit of a backlog before I start posting again, but I didn't want to leave y'all wondering if the fic had been dropped or something. It has not! Progress is being made! Thank you all for being so patient!

In the meantime, feel free to ask questions! I'm trying to be more active on Tumblr, so I should see any asks that come in.
