I noticed in the bts video for Boom that RTD is talking about stuff that's come in the previous episodes and mentions goblins and babies but not Maestro...does make me think about your ep order theory! imo Boom was good as a week 2 ep but The Devil's Chord would have worked well coming after it, definitely would have helped explain why Ruby and Fifteen are so close!

Interesting! I saw some bickering about it over on Twitter, and that the Devil's Chord bts thing refers to "episode 2" a lot as proof it was always intended that way... but I haven't seen either (just the short one on Youtube) and I kind of doubt it lmao. I can buy that maybe Boom was always ep 3 and something else got swapped with TDC, I'm just... so doubtful that the original intention was always "Ruby has travelled for a long time by Boom yet never seen an alien planet".

me: but i agree that the entire plot shifted when michael died in s3 because it lost the strong detective/crimelord angle that had been an important plot and moved the series into new waters without that angle and that’s a huge part of why the later seasons are bad and their attempt to bring it back this season is an attempt to return to what was good in the first two and a half seasons but they’re bungling it—

do we know if Yael knew Petra was lying before the finale? bc if she didn't I can't help wonder if she would have played her slightly differently and we would have had a sense something was up

i don’t think it’s been confirmed whether or not yael knew. based on the way jtv is though, i’m guessing she didn’t since the actors always talk about how they only find out stuff when they get the script, which is basically the day before they film if i’m not mistaken. yael’s a great actress and she’s good with the subtle stuff so i feel like if she knew, we would’ve sensed it too, yeah.
