Back when undertale first came out there was a post floating around about how lucky we were that Mettaton had a canon humanoid form, because otherwise he probably would have gotten a bunch of really basic white man humanizations of his boxy robot form and someone drew an example and it was just … a white blonde man in a gray suit with a tie and it bothered me so much that I blocked the post. It wasn’t even a bad post, it was just an example, but seeing Mettaton get the same treatment as Wheatley, even hypothetically, caused me too much psychic damage and I knew if I saw the post again I’d lose my mind.
