Because I’ve been trying to figure that out, and all the things I’ve come up with make this story So Much Worse…especially when you consider the “Sexual harassment of an anomaly” bit.
…I feel like this ask needs some sort of trigger warning. Mostly for The Implications, but also because the article is just super messed up.
to my knowledge, no. i think the sexual harassment thing is meant to cover the forceful and unnecessary strip search, though. maybe a bit of the confrontation near the end too.
however, i think it's worth remembering that it's a concept that was erased there, and not a memory, so it wasn't a specific incident that was erased from her mind.
