He really is a pathetic puppydog of a man. His date doesn't tell him he's crashing her high school reunion. She calls him the wrong name the whole time. She abandons him with her bag to dance. She flirts with her high school sweetheart the whole time. Then. THEN. She waltzes up, gives a half assed apology, bats her eyes and calls him cute and gets the softest most agreeable look i have seen that man give anyone so far. He fucking tilts his head down and like looks up at her through his eyelashes! My man she has been horrible to you all night are you that affection starved? Are you? (He is).
Ofc then she asks him to hit on her ex's wife and ruins it but thats not the point.
The point is that that fucking man is totally a stray dog and you could domesticate him SO fast. He would be eating out of your hand in like a week if you were simply continually sweet to him. He would get sickeningly domestic so fast it'd make you dizzy.
