The Saberguard convened outside the necromancer Urghathoa’s crypt and then breached it, fighting off hordes of undead abominations, many of which were made to eerily resemble ghastly versions of Saberguard members themselves, or of people they loved, making it all the more challenging to defeat these foes. They succeeded in rescuing Tar and Kaylie who had both wound up in Urghathoa’s clutches, and finally confronted the necromancer herself, who was Dvoraak’s second in command. After a difficult battle--won through a combination of teamwork, resiliency, and Urghathoa seeming demoralized--they apprehended her rather than killing her and imprisoned her near their headquarters, where they are preparing to question her. Afterward, a very tense First Officer Adheles turned on Kaylie, reprimanding and confining her to headquarters for having run off on her own when the undead woman was in a weakened condition, leading to her having been caught and needing rescue. Urghathoa’s capture marked the first major victory for the Duskwatch Saberguard against Dvoraak and his followers, but tensions are still high as the following days have begun to feel like a calm before the storm....
