Can I ask for any of the KHR Cast headcanon for the Reader/Romantic partner in handling the box animals ? I'm really interested in seeing how it would be to like have Nuts/Natsu at first being scared of Tsuna's Partner then warming up later on, Uri absolutely loving Gokudera's Partner but getting possessive not letting even Gokudera be with them, Roll actually being vulnerable with Hibari's lover

Of course you can ask for that! And don’t worry, I both love rambling and completely understood what you meant! Because you said any of the cast, I kind of just chose the box animals I had ideas for, so I do hope that these are headcanons that you enjoy and some of the ones you wanted!
Okay, I’m just going to start off by saying how I feel about the Box Weapons who have animal forms. Now, the Box animal will only be summoned if the ring, flame, and box are all of the same type and their abilities and, I feel, their personalities, are really based on the strength of the flame and the personality of the Flame user. That being said, they only respond to that exact flame, from that exact user so the significant other in all of these cases could not control or summon the exact Box animal that their partner has. But the Box animals do have substance and actual physical bodies and are shown to be able to interact with the environment, so they could interact with the significant other.
Natsu is going to play shy with Tsuna’s partner at first, you are definitely right about that. But, like I said, I feel like the Box animals are influenced by their Flame owner’s personalities, intentions, and desires so Natsu is influenced by Tsuna’s protectiveness over his family and his partner. While I do agree that he’d warm up a little as time goes on and he’s out more, I think he’s always just slightly shy around Tsuna’s partner and doesn’t want a lot of pets or physical contact from anyone other than Tsuna. That being said, he will follow them around somewhat and just kind of shyly keep an eye on them and wouldn’t hesitate to protect them if he needed to.
I have always loved the idea of Uri seeming to like Gokudera’s partner more than she likes Gokudera because it’s just so cute. I don’t think she’s out all the time because that takes up a lot of flame and a lot of Gokudera’s physical stamina would be eaten up if that was the case, but I do think that when she’s out, she does curl up in Gokudera’s partners lap and she’ll purr extra loud and let his partner pet her or play with her. She’s very protective and possessive of Gokudera’s partner but that does stem from the fact that Gokudera is so heavily protective of, and can be accused of being slightly possessive of, his significant other and Uri is just more comfortable showing it. That all being said, I think if Uri is summoned while Gokudera and his partner, that does change a bit. While she’ll never attack or scratch his partner because Gokudera always gets the brunt of that, she’ll act more brattish to his partner, doing little petty things like laying on their keyboard when they need to work, tipping over their glass, or scratching up papers they need, just because she’s influenced by some of Gokudera’s upset feelings.
Now, Bester is stand-offish at best to everyone. Don’t touch Bester, no matter what. But Bester is better with Xanxus’ partner than with anyone else, other than Xanxus himself. I really feel like, while Bester won’t cuddle with Xanxus’ partner or get too close, they lay down at Xanxus’ partner’s feet quite a bit, just to keep an eye on them. Xanxus won’t ever acknowledge his love for his partner in words or acknowledge in any way how protective of his significant other he actually is, but it’s well shown in the actions of his Box animal.
I feel like both Chrome and Mukuro use Mukurowl to communicate and keep an eye on either of their partner’s when they can’t do so. Mukurowl will have no problem perching on their partner’s shoulder or head and since Mukuro can easily possess the bird, he uses it to communicate telepathically with his or Chrome’s partner and to ensure that they are either safe or that they can take care of any danger that they might encounter.
