LITERALLY THE ENTIRE FANDOM SHIPPED ROBIN/BARNEY. AND IF THEY DIDN'T THEY SHIPPED ANYONE ELSE THAT WASN'T ROBIN/TED. 

WANNA KNOW HOW THEY ENDED THAT SHIT? TURNS OUT AS TED WAS TELLING THE STORY TO HIS KIDS, THE MOTHER HAD BEEN DEAD FOR 6 YEARS. YEAH. FUCKING DEAD. AND THE WHOLE 9 YEARS OF STORY TELLING WAS JUST TED TRYING TO ASK HIS KIDS IF IT WAS OKAY TO ASK ROBIN OUT. 

AND YEA RIGHT IN THE BEGINNING OF THE EPISODE ROBIN AND BARNEY GOT DIVORCED AFTER 3 YEARS. 

AND THEY KILLED ALL OF THE CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT THAT BARNEY HAD BY MAKING HIM A DRUNKEN PLAYER AGAIN BUT TRIED TO REDEEM IT BY GIVING HIM A CHILD FROM A WOMAN HE DOESN'T EVEN HAVE A NAME FOR HE JUST CALLS HER "number 31" CUZ SHE WAS THE 31ST WOMAN HE SLEPT WITH THAT MONTH. 

SO IT ENDS WITH 50 YEAR OLD TED SHOWING UP AT ROBIN'S DOORSTEP. LITERALLY THE OPPOSITE OF WHAT EVERYONE WANTED. I FEEL LIKE JEFF DAVIS AND STEVEN MOFFAT WROTE THIS BULLSHIT.
