About a year ago, we post about a live CD from The Minneapolis Uranium Club, "Live! At Arci Taun!". That band has been around since the mid 2010s and has now earned the tag "egg punk" which didn't exist when they started.
One of its members, Harry Wohl, has been quietly making great solo records since 2020 under the moniker Harry Sings! (New York, New York). "The Schoolhaus Recordings" came out last year on cassette via Idle Music, but now, Wohl is releasing "Christie's Toy Box" on Blushing Grinning. This appears to be the debut release for the label.
Both releases are not presented as punk but more of gentle indie pop. I'm sure Wohl could just as easily make these punk, rock, egg punk or whatever he wanted to make it.
Two names brought up in the Bandcamp notes on the Schoolhaus release page are R. Stevie Moore and The Velvet Underground. Schoolhaus was mixed with help from a member of Urochromes.
