Raising an eyebrow, he had to wonder if Thor was really okay or if he was just saying it to say it. He wanted to believe his friend, wanted to believe that he really was okay and that he didn't need to worry about him, but all of is instincts were going off. And when they did that? He tended to listen to them. Very rarely did they lead him astray and he didn't need this to be the first time they did that. But all that aside, he needed to know one way or another. Steve was certain in time Thor would be okay. But given the small skirmish around them he needed to know in that moment. "You sure, Thor?" Maybe now wasn't the time to question it all. Someone called for assistance over their comms and he needed to focus on that and not on his friend who said he was okay. "Let's get back out there. I'm sure things will get better once we're in the thick of things again."

A low hiss escapes from barely parted lips. “Sure as hell doesn’t feel like it,” Her left hand comes up to brush against the deep gouges in her right forearm that had already begun to heal. Even with such rapid regeneration, it still hurt like a bitch.

“But thank you... I guess,” the latter part is mumbled to herself. Gratitude has always been something she’s struggled to express, it came with the territory of being loath to admit to needing help. 

“Don’t get too happy with your heroics, that thing’ll come back.” Sharna had personal experience with the persistent of cù-sìth, the fae hounds were more relentless than hellhounds; the gnarled bite scar on her ankle from her human days was a reminder of that.

“I can relate.” He and his twin had endured much in their childhood and adolescence. They had pieced themselves back together, stronger in some ways and more fragile in others. But still standing, still alive. His head tilts, “Are you better or worse for it?”

"Wasn't it, though?" It didn't matter if what had happened wasn't his fault. He was the one that put his foot down, he was the one who said no when it came to the Accords. Maybe if he hadn't, maybe if he'd forced Stark to talk to he might've been able to stop everything that had happened. Except he hadn't. He hadn't talked with him, he hadn't stopped to think that if he walked away everything would fall apart. Maybe if he had everything might've been different. Instead — Steve didn't like to think about all that he'd done. He was to blame for their failure, for the fact that they hadn't worked as a team and that they'd lost those who had been their friends and family. Though a part of him did appreciate the fact that Thor was trying to make him feel better. With his guilt being what it was, the last thing he needed was more of it. And yet he knew that this would sit with him for a long, long time.

Looking over at his friend, he knew that he shouldn't take anything out on him. He wasn't to blame. Thor wasn't even around when the Accords had come into play. And even if he had been a part of him thought that he would've laughed in their faces. A part of him would've loved to have seen that. It might not have gone the way any of them expected. Hell, it might've actually turned out better. Either way, Steve knew that it wasn't the conversation they should have and offering him another smile he wanted Thor to know he was appreciative. "I know you're trying to cheer me up and I appreciate it. But you know what it's like being in charge and how things stop with you."

Steve looked up at the God with a raised brow. He had just explained everything that had happened while Thor was gone on Asgard. He explained how the team broke up, what happened at the airport, Bucky and down to nearly killing Tony. It all sounded completely ridiculous and dramatic. 

“I am, don’t believe me? Give Tony a call. I’m sure he has a few choice words to say about me.” Steve shrugged.

“ you -- you’re -- ” GODS are nothing but royalty held to an even higher standard ( something the HIGH KING thinks Aslan may have whispered to him if he’d been standing here now ), but this happens to be a GOD he’d read about in story books. Narnian history books talk about a connection in the sky -- though even that doesn’t make much sense if anyone at court really thinks about it.

Peter’s hands grip either side of his throne before releasing just as quickly. This is just like any other visitor to Narnian court. In that instance, he flashes a soft smile and pushes himself to stand before the other. “ Your excellence, ” Well -- how else is he to refer to a god? “ What do we owe the pleasure of your visit here? ”
