@killdevil asked: " i don’t know what i did to deserve you . "
This again... this idea of what he deserves. As if she'd chosen him because his value is based on what he can give her. And yes while he has given her a lot, it isn't what's kept her with him all this time. Despite whatever it is he tells himself, she knows he is worth more than he believes. Suppose maybe their ideas of good and evil are different then. Where Atticus seems to view his actions as an irredeemable necessity in the world- Wuya has come to see it as another form of karma. His anger is simply a mirror of the cruelty inflicted on him. No more, no less.
All she's done is care for him; nsure he's had enough food, that he had a warm bath as soon as he'd come home, that his hair was freed of knots, and braided.
" We've discussed this, dear. " smoothing her hand over his hair, then tightening the ribbon she's tied at the end. It'll keep it tame for the night- most of it. He always wakes up with a mess in the morning. " You don't need to do anything. I don't need to be won, or impressed... " a gentle huff of laughter. " Though you do a very good job at the latter. " there is a soft lilt to her tone, as she lets her body tip forward. Both arms curling around his shoulders, that way she can nuzzle her cheek against his.
" I was meant for you- and you for me. " dark lips brush against his ear, affection readily given with a smile. " Simple as that... you deserve me, because you are true to yourself, Atticus. You're good to me, you care. You love me, and you love the family we've made with everything you have. "
this was an old prompt idk.
