22.11.2019:. On the eve of Friday, Club for Short Evening Courses (CSEC) organised a workshop on Group Discussion in Kennedy Auditorium at 3:30 pm. Prof. Parvaiz Talib, Chairperson, Business Administration and Mr. Saad Hameed, TPO (General) were the resource persons of the day. The event was targeted to refine and provide the opportunity for students to polish their skills in Group Discussion. The mode of conduct was through vocation and practice. The event was initiated by reciting verses from the Holy Quran which is the age-old tradition of the University. Prof. Talib gave a brief introduction to the rules of the group discussion. He also gave the topic of the group discussion which was “Good of the olden times let others state, I feel lucky to be born late”. The participants were then divided into 9 groups of 10 each. They were given 10-15 minutes to discuss amongst each other. The course of the GD went really well and the participants showed great fervour. Each member came up with thoughtful ideas and very rightly justified them as well. One member was then nominated as the representative from each group by the mutual consent and he/she then presented the ideas of the whole group for the final GD. After the completion, the moderators thoroughly assessed the performance of the candidates and gave their valuable feedback. They highly appreciated the sincere efforts made by the participants. In the end, the vote of thanks was presented to the guests by Mr. Javed Akhtar, Secretary, CSEC. He wholeheartedly congratulated the members for successfully organising the event.
