The detective was sat besides you, your hand in his as he inspected it with curious eyes.
Every now and then he brings your hand closer and kisses your palm gently. Whether it was to soothe him or calm him down, you didn’t know.
Regardless of if he showed it or not, Osamu was getting annoyed at how long he was sat here inspecting your hands.
What was he looking for?
His name. You told him it was hidden somewhere amongst the intricate henna design on your hands.
The detective prided himself in his intelligence so this was positively annoying to say the least.
Osamu held your hands open, fingertip tracing the detailed lines of the henna. He turned your hands over, looking along your fingers, yet he could not find his name.
"It's not on, you're messing with me" he pouted, plopping down onto your lap dramatically.
The man buried his face against your plush thighs, actually sulking.
"It's on, I promise" you brushed his hair away from his face, stroking his cheek lovingly, with tender affection.
"Promise?" he subtly leaned into your touch like a needy cat
"Promise"
With a sigh he turned over, laying his head on your lap. He brought your hands up to his face to inspect it once again. Determination in his eyes.
Taking his time and going over each section of your hands with sharp keen eyes.
You swore you could see the gears in his head turning and then his eyes landed on the flower where one of the oval petals strayed away from the flower and turned a beautiful cursive 'osamu'
The smile that broke across his face was so bright and genuine. His eyes soften and he beams up at you. Bringing your hand closer and kissing his name
You chuckle, "Do you like it?" you muse,
"Mmm" he continues to look at your hand, "It's so beautiful" he sounds awestruck, it’s so dreamy listening to him gush about seeing his name written with henna on your skin.
“Silly woman, love you” he bites your finger, smiling around the digit.
Bastard.
