Encyclopedia of Badassery- Entry #567: Observe the use of the urumi (or the ethunu kaduwa, depending where you are), a flexible ‘sword-whip’ made of single or multiple razor-sharp steel strips up to 16ft long. Used by warriors in the Kalaripattayu and Angampora martial arts of India and Sri Lanka, respectively, urumi are fearsome melee weapons, capable of cutting multiple assailants - including mounted cavalry - to ribbons.
