Act 2: Growth or learning the language
Main Inspiration (from top to bottom)
Dante Alighieri, La Divina Commedia, 1321
Act 1 - Claude Monet, Japanese Footbridge, 1920/22
Act 2 - Salvador Dalí, Metamorphosis of Narcissus, 1937
Act 3 - Jackson Pollock, Convergence, 1952
Act 3 Paradiso - The Market Square
Act 2 Purgatorio - The Apartment of the Mad
Act 1 Inferno - The Amphitheater of Sanity
Act 3 - The Market Square
Arguments thrown around like paint splatter on a wall. Overlapping, overcasting, with or without blending into each other. Every word sending waves in all directions and yet, like an echo, just a repetition of old waves.
Act 2 - The Apartment of the Mad
Walking on a mountain path of formerly liquid stone, surrounded by sulfury, yellow moss and heads caught between the states of matter. Step by step we move forward with daffodils covering our heads.
Act 1 - The Amphitheater of Sanity
We enter a forest and are met with three beasts. One is on the walls, the second underneath our feet and the third we hear shouting hidden somewhere in the back of this place. There is no path that leads us through this maze, just a voice calling us.
