I’m not sure how many people are aware of a car game I like to play called “how many dead wombats can I see on this trip?”* Now wombats are a little scarce over here so the game wasn’t going well, so I have decided to play a variant called “how many road kill animals can I see on this trip?”

So far the tally is

Day 1: 1

Day 4: 7 (included a deer carcass that an eagle was trying to eat)

It’s now about 30 hours since I got up to go to the airport.

I’ve had approx 2 hours sleep since then and not all in one go

I’m almost ready to crash in preparation for my first full day in the US where I get to wander around the center of Denver and then get really high
