Metodos de tortura en Chile/Methods of torture in Chile

The ‘grill’: this was the most common form of torture. It consisted of a metal cot to which the detainee was tied naked in order to apply electric shocks to different parts of the body, especially the most sensitive areas such as the lips or genitals, and even wounds or metal prostheses. A particularly cruel variation of this method involved the use of a two-storey metal bunk bed; as a means of psychological pressure and weakening, the interrogated person was placed on the lower bunk while a family member or friend was tortured on the upper bunk.

A NUMBER OF CAUSTIES RESULTING FROM US AND BRITISH AIRSTRIKES ON YEMEN, ANSAR-ALLAH RESPONDS
📹 Scenes of the dead and wounded at a hospital in Hodeidah, Yemen, after American and British warplanes bombed the radio building in the city.
According to Al-Mayadeen, the United States and Britain targeted Sana'a and Hodeidah in Yemen with a total of 13 raids, resulting in the death of two people, and wounded several others.
US and British airstrikes on Thursday/Friday night targeted the capital of Sana'a, along with the port of Al-Salif, in the Hodeidah Governate, and Al-Hawk district, south of Hodeidah.
Three other raids targeted Al-Nahdain area, another the Sana'a international airport, while third struck the coastal area of Ghalifaqa, in the Al-Durayhimi district, south of the Hodeidah Governate.
Local residents reported that American and British bombing targeted the Radio Tower in in Al-Hawk district, on the coast of the Red Sea, in Yemen's west, killing two people and wounding a several others.
Also targeted was the communications network in the Haifan district, south of Taiz Governate, in the southwest of Yemen, while two other strikes bombed the Jarban area of the Sanhan district, south of Sana'a.
In response to the strikes, Al-Mayadeen says a member of Ansar-Allah movement's Politboro, Ali Al-Qahhoum, reminds that the attacks on Yemen by the United States and Britain are nothing new, and that the aggression by the two Western countries has been ongoing for years, and is not a result of the things going on at this moment.
He confirms that Yemen's ongoing operations, to blockade Israeli and Israeli-allied ships from the Red Sea, will continue until the siege and aggression against Gaza ends and "will not stop before that."
"If the Americans want the conflict not to expand, they must stop the aggression and siege on Gaza. Otherwise, the Yemeni strikes will continue and expand," Al-Qahhoum is quoted as saying.
“Yemen will undoubtedly respond to the aggression, and the Americans and the British will not be able to repel it, and it will certainly be a painful response."
Al-Qahhoum explains that the American and the British leadership must “realize the extent of the escalation of Yemen’s power, and that our ballistic missiles will reach their targets at sea and in our occupied land.”
He reiterated to Al-Mayadeen that Yemen "has an open hand for peace with neighboring countries, but in return it will not delay in responding to any source of aggression."
" Yemen will not yield, and the Americans and the British are opening the gates of hell upon themselves, and we advise nearby countries not to get involved again."
Al-Qahhoum concluded by saying, "The battle with the Americans and the British today is a battle of dignity and honour. Yemen has great capabilities for confrontation, and the aggressors must bear the response."

I don't think Americans realise how disconnected from reality they are. Like I would be thinking about how Obama drone attacked my country and how our coping mechanism is humour coz we turned a childhood rhyme to a dark joke about his drones, and then I'll open the Internet and there would be some dumb American thirsting over him or praising or staning him like he's some sort of saviour wth
Peacemaker, US Propaganda
I'd really love to see analysis about how in The Suicide Squad, the Peacemaker said he doesn't care how many men, women, and children he has to kill for peace. He was so dedicated to protecting American interests that he killed Rick Flag so America's crimes in Corto Maltese wouldn't be exposed. He then tried to kill Ratcatcher 2. He was determined to murder to cover it up. He was such a representation of how the US kills indiscriminately "in the name of peace", commits atrocities, and the lengths the US government goes through to cover it up. A perfect commentary on US imperialism and crimes.
And now, we get the Peacemaker tv show, which from the trailer and opening scene seems to turn his overly zealous patriotism into a bigger joke (than earlier in The Suicide Squad). Meanwhile, how many people worldwide have died and been harmed in other ways because of violent American patriots? And it seems like they are just making him comical? He is already an exaggerated display of US patriotism, so much so that the viewer wouldn't take him seriously earlier on in the film. When he was exposed, it seemed like the writers were saying "yes, he really is that dangerous, even to the other heroes in the movie." (Note, I do not think he's a hero) So to have this show with this tone, it seems like an effort to undermine that reality: That violent US patriots will even kill "their own" to protect America. To make him even more exaggerated, comical, and absurd makes him seem like more of an aberration than a representation of how the US government and many self-proclaimed US patriots are. It seems like that was the trade-off. "You can have that twist in the movie, but there needs to be a show to combat that perspective." It seems like Grade A US propaganda. But considering the US military involvement in movies...

While the US government’s influence in Hollywood is no secret, new documents reveal the staggering extent of CIA and Pentagon influence acro
No, I'm not going to watch so I can see for myself. I don't need to see any attempts to humanize or make him relatable. I don't need to see any attempts to say there's validity on his views (I already saw James Gunn's comments). I don't need to see a redemption arc or him learn to be better. I don't need to seem him portrayed as "a different kind of hero." I don't need to see him wrestle with what he or the US government does/has done. What I saw of him in The Suicide Squad was enough. I'm not giving that show another view. There were other characters they could have did a show with, like Bloodsport or Ratcatcher 2. But I find it especially insidious how they chose Peacemaker and made it a comedy. And so many people are eating it up.
And don't say: It's just a tv show.
