This is beyond unfair! Palestine absolutely fits with the requirements for membership and it was majority vote for them to become a part of the club so it’s completely stupid that the US can undo the whole process by vetoing the bid because the Israeli doesn’t want them to join! Israel has committed genocide against the Palestinians for over 70 years and they got a membership! If Palestine doesn’t get one too then both Israel and the US should be kicked out for their hypocrisy and seemingly endless acts of stupidity!
But there’s still hope, I have heard that there is a special kind of law that the secretary general can call upon in order to undo a veto that prevents a peace process from happening. I’m not a lawyer so I don’t know much about the specifics, but it sounds like our current best option right now for getting Palestine a seat at the table and the first step in not just getting stability in the Middle East, but also the rest of the world too.
