You know out of all the horrors I faced at school that tend to worm their way back into my memory unwillingly theres one i remembered today i cannot wrap my head around.

So who here had a Senior Assasin game at their school?

You didn't? Well lucky you! Well I will say one thing, is that the only saving grace of this game is that it requires signups to join.

Heres our premise!

Every student gets a target! Goal? Squirt your target with a watergun to tag them, sometimes you may get a new target after the deed is done, and only one student remains standing!

Now you'd look at that and go:

"Hey this sounds kinda fun!"

But if you were in a schooling situation like me, your first reaction was probably something around the lines of:

"What the fuck."

And what the fuck it is! For in the rules there are safezones and powerups! In our school, there were two:

School (during school hours)

On the clock at work

So about those signups, you know that a game in your school is so fun and safe and dandy when absolutely none of the:

Queer

Grand total of 5 poc students

Students who were bullied or harmed in general for any reason

Absolutely said "fuck no" to signing up.

Because nothings better than getting stalked both online and the real world as spmeone tried to find where you live just to shoot you! How fun and wholesome! How great at relieving the stress of your impending graduation!

It's okay thpugh! Cause your hunter could alsp lie to your parents and trick them into letting them in your house and room! Perfectly safe and normal behavior!

Now this also encouraged being stealthy! Time to wear dark clothes at night and stalk around the neighborhood with a water gun! Surely nothing can go wrong. Oh whoops, your water gun isn't colorful and neon enough! Police!

Well... maybe the game could be fun? Make the target and hunter pairs be exclusively people who know eachother? Allow students to blacklist certain names of people they don't feel safe being hunted by or hunting?

Nope! Random! Good luck cause the guy who threatened to correctivly rape you and about 20 other queer students was allowed to sign up for the game in the first place! Never considered signing up before and then I saw the goggles, our schools power up choice, on said kid. Never touching that with a 10 foot pole!

Lucky for my school the worst thing that happened was someone trespassing to get to their target during a party.

in school, did you prefer the brightly lit classes or the dimly lit (usually with a scented candle) classes? i preferred dimly lit bcs it made me less anxious but I hear a lot of ppl dont like those classes (also bcs i found tht brightly lit tended to be math and dimly lit was history. English could be either. Science was typically dimly lit but not always. I hate math and i love english and history)

i think some other countries have stricter regulations on this so idk if this is purely american.

if youre still in high school, just answer which you prefer now. If youre younger than that, probably get off of tumblr.

The worst thing about being deemed “smart” by the USA school system is that it’s automatically assumed that you’re going to go into some field that requires lots of thinking and math and shit. Like, what if I just want to play music? Get a degree in music performance or music education? Or if I want to work on cars? Why can’t I do that? 

Why can’t we say to kids, “Find a way to do what you enjoy,” instead of, “Go into a field that will utilize your talents.” 

Cause I’m good at math, that could be considered one of my “talents.” But do I enjoy math? Fucking no.
