It's me again! My prompt idea is Easter - you know, Easter parade mice, DisneySea Fashionable Easter - anything you like, but inspired by those outfits (whichever ones you like). Some verse where there's a reason they're dressed up fancy (or set within the park itself, if you'd rather). Usa-Piyo optional too!
Decided to go for a funny/cute idea, here you go!
Mickey wasn't one to often admit this, but he actually liked dressing up all “fancy”, as he and his malepals would put it. Not every single day, mind you, but donningcolorful suits put a skip to his step. After all, winter was finallyover, spring had sprung, and each Easter was better than the onebefore it. Fit to burst with happiness, he strolled casually over toMinnie's place, humming a merry tune with his hands in his pocket.
This Easter had been... slightlystranger than normal, he'd concede, but nothing they couldn't handle. After all, Minnie had said she had taken care of it. If you couldn'trely on Minnie Mouse, who could you rely on?
On her front porch, he knocked in hisusual way – 'shave and a haircut, two bits'. He then paused – wasit his imagination or was there a lot of... squeaking, going oninside Minnie's typically quiet house? He leaned in a little closerto the door to make sure – just as Minnie very quickly came out, slamming the door behind her, their foreheads nearly bumping. “Mickeyyou're early!” She even said that quickly, smashing the wordstogether like an accident on the highway.
Mickey blinked – she was dressed tothe nines, and adorably so, but her clothes were also a bit...ruffled? As if she'd been running around the house? Strange, she wasusually the one to tell him to calm down whenever he was dressed up,so he wouldn't wrinkle his nice clothes. “I wanted to get a headstart on the parade! … Minnie, is somethin' the matter?”
Minnie had her back and hands to thedoor, putting on a smile of lies. “Of course it is! I just... needa few more minutes... to get ready!”
Mickey looked at her, the door, and puta few unfortunate puzzle pieces in his head. He loved Minnie, noquestion, and should anyone dare even think that she wasn'tperfection incarnate, they were sure to get a lecture from him. Buteven he could admit she had... flaws. Itty bitty cute flaws, butflaws all the same. “Minnie... you remember that lil' problem wewere talkin' about earlier?”
His girlfriend decidedly did not lookhim in the eyes. “Maybe.”
“And you said you and Daisy fixedit?”
“I might have said that.”
“And by fixing it, you didn't meankeeping every single last one, did you?”
Minnie said nothing, her eyes bouncingaround as she tried to find an answer that wasn't a real lie but notthe whole truth either. All Mickey had to do was scoot over a fewinches to get at her front window, and with one swift motion, pushedthe curtain apart. He took one look in.
There inside Minnie's normally neat andtidy household were dozens of ducklings with bunny ears – oddEaster creatures that Minnie and Daisy had discovered by accident bypainting magic eggs with magic paint and creating a magical headachefor everyone involved. Sure, they were cute as the dickens, but as isthe nature of the young and uncontrollable, they were making a grandmess of things, playing games and tearing up her pink couch andsliding down her banister.
Mickey closed the curtain.
“Minnie.”
“Oooh, but Mickeeey, they're socuuute!”
“Minnie.”
“Okay, I know it doesn't look great, but we figured-”
“There's gotta be at least thirty ofthem in there!”
“Forty-seven.” Minnie automaticallycorrected before wincing.
