Things I took away from the match last night...more of a rant tbh.

- Alex Scott should be manager. She showed that she knew more about the team than Neville’s shown since he’s arrived.

- Situation would’ve been a lot different with Beth England and Jordan Nobbs starting the game.

- Millie Bright and Steph Houghton have absolutely NO chemistry. That’s not to say they’re not both excellent defenders but when they work together my god it is a mess.

- WHY ARE YOU PLAYING NIKITA PARRIS? She sucks, please don’t come back to OL.

- It showed just how much Lucy Bronze carries the defence. (Pretty much the team.)

- If you’re boasting about young players and about how you’re planning for the future then PLAY THEM.

- And finally, Phil Neville you’re a fucking clown that should not be in charge of literally anything. I’m surprised you can even tie your shoes in the morning - we already know you can’t make your own cup of tea ffs.

So evidently we've found the USWNT's weakness... Their frustration at not scoring and need to get goals in makes them take chances and frankly the first half from both sides was a bit messy and not at all what I expected tonight from the USA team. Second half they were more clinical and precise, and that was where we fell below the mark unfortunately. Ultimately the end result was what I anticipated, but the fact we kept them off the score sheet until the second half is commendable as all fuck, and now we know for next time. They might have pace and skill but they have very little patience.

Bringing on Nobbs and England should have happened at half time imo, they defended all the first half, it was time to bring out your attackers and Nobbs and Williamson have a brilliant skill to see plays throughout the whole field, and pass it into spaces that can make a big difference, and seeing what White and England could have paired up with up front would have been great.

Mead and Bronze were sorely missed tonight, but I think it created a chance we haven't had which is to force us out of our comfort zone in relation to play style. Yes the wings were still being used very heavily but having new players and the opposition not being able to plan as well for how we're going to play was a benefit I feel to us. Hemp was incredibly impressive up front, definitely a good choice, her touches and headers in towards the box created multiple opportunities we just didn't capitalize on and I'd have liked to see Kelly get more time out there tonight, to let them enjoy playing against the best in the world.

Also I still can hear the thousands of screams of uswnt fans whenever the players came within 5ft of the ball, and I'm considering muting any future US games I watch because I cannot get through that again.
