Was there a gold heist in GTAV? I don’t remember.
I don’t have much to say other than this gold bar USB is not has heavy as that other one I have.

Here’s a Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 drive shaped like a tiny nuclear bomb on key ring commemorating the 2025 iterations of the popular Nuketown multiplayer map
This apparently was commercial release and not packed with the game.
Frankly I’m glad they put the year on this, I’ve lost track of the CoD timeline over the years. Plus it’s nice to see flash drives still being made and marketed in 2025!
I must have more HALO themed drives than ones for any other franchise. Timing and thematic consistency I suppose.
Anyway I got this from the UK and frankly it’s kinda goofy looking. It’s blank too, and that’s a minus.
Coincidentally another “tape drive” this one for the sleeper hit of the Far Cry franchise, Far Cry Blood Dragon. A pitch perfect satire of over the top 80s sci-fi action movies, it’s the kind of game Ubisoft should be making more of.
This 4GB drive comes with a cassette case that, since the drive comes with the game soundtrack, really sells the throwback illusion. This is a very nice piece from Limited Run who show they care able the details even beyond the game itself.
They already made over two thousand of these games already?
Thank you! I’ll be here all week!
Anyway, another Battlefield dog tag for the collection. It’s in it original packaging so I’m going to leave it for now.
Another drive from the Splinter Cell franchise! See the other one for how this series never clicked for me. This was the entry when Sam Fisher, unfitting voice guy, gets sent to prison but they let him keep some of his spy tech. Good thing that stuff is designed to be tiny IF you know what I mean!
Check out all that green. Remember when everything was green in the days before brown? Good times.
Anyway, this card style drive wouldn’t work in my special air gapped test computer so whatever was on it, if anything, is lost to the digital aether, alas.
Gold! Yeehaw!
Anyway…here’s the gold bar drive from Battlefield: Bad Company, a tongue in cheek spin-off title that apes the plot of Kelly’s Heroes. Hence the gold bar.
The only thing I recall about this part of the franchise was that one of them instead of a tasteful flash drive was packaged with a sample of cologne. An idea that backfired at my local GameStop when a vial was spilled on the shop carpet, forever scenting the retailer.
This drive, untested at this moment, is quite hefty; weighed down intentionally to ape the weight of real gold bars. Nice touch but it makes then drive totally impractical and awkward. Shiny though, must have looked nice new.
Straight from a Down Under collector’s edition of some kind comes this Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon drive shaped like a VHS tape.
If you are unfamiliar with FC3BD then basically it’s a stripped down and reskinned stand alone mod of Fry Cry 3. And if that alone didn’t give you a headache then then neon visuals of the retro apocalypse FPS action adventure satire of 80s science fiction will for sure. Honestly though it had no business being as fun as it was.
Since the era of VHS tapes and flash drives didn’t overlap this drive is not a silk screened tchotchke, but has its detail molded, sparse as it is. I’ll check the size and contents later and report anything interesting. Maybe.
