camp half blood really let a bunch of preteens go on countless quests. chiron would just be like yeah i need a couple 13 yr olds to go battle monsters and save the world and maybe die in the process and no one would even be remotely helpful they'd all withhold important information that would've been useful. "should i tell these kids exactly what the prophecy means and how they should prepare.... no. i will be Cryptic instead"
