today officially marks the first year since we discovered being a system. Since the egg cracked or whatever.
I've been host for a few years now and only within the past year did I end up figuring it out. Valentine being the one to really crack it all open and Sheriff taking the first steps into figuring it out. We've had a lot of people hold us back from finding out what was "wrong" with us.
im not a good host, im still trying my best to take care of this but i wouldn't have gone as far as I have without my headmates, im really lucky to have a lot of them willing to help carry my ass while im struggling in this world.
having DID isn't something thats fun or great, but it's proof we survived everything thats happened to us, we survived the cruel and dark parts of this world, survived monsters and demons, and we kept living despite it all.
despite it all, we live. we continue, we thrive. and I hope I can be around to grow with us. i'm excited to see what's in our future as a system and continue to heal and grow with eachother, to meet the new people that way or may not come around in our system and to continue to learn.
thank you to our friends who have been patient with me and have been so kind to my headmates, to those other system friends I have who've helped me adjust and learn, and to the friends who have been learning about DID to better understand me and have been so accepting regardless.
we didn't think we'd be alive for this long, hell I didn't either. So many previous hosts have come through and we all thought we wouldn't survive past 13 but here we are, 20 years old and living.
