♱ — coming out of the woodworks here to comment on your second to last repost about system mapping and charting
you may find it useful to know that there’s a plurality tracking site called pluralspace
it has all of what SP does (minus reminders, for now) and more, including my main reason for recommending, a “Relationships” feature - you can create custom relations/roles/descriptions to describe dynamics and display them on alters profiles, and in-web there is a section where you can toy with and filter those roles to see an actual chart of it between parts/as a whole system
it looks incredibly similar if not identical to the hand drawn ones in that repost. if you haven’t looked into it already, I would greatly recommend :)
just checked it out, i like it a lot theres a lot of customization and stuff. thanks for sharing
It's been eleven years (wow) since the original 30 Days of DID ask meme was created, and there Still isn't one that is not largely parts-focused. So I made my own.
Some questions still pertain to parts but they are much more few and far between than the original ask meme. Answer what you want to, skip over what you don't like. This is all in the name of getting to know yourself better and sharing only what you feel comfortable sharing.
To be clear because unfortunately I have to be, this ask meme is for those with a complex dissociative disorder (so not just DID!) whose experiences with parts are inherently disordered.
When and how did you find out you have DID?
How do you experience DID? Do you find your symptoms manifest more physically, emotionally, mentally, etc?
What does healing look like for you?
Do you have a specific type of therapy that is your favourite and that works best for you? What types of therapy haven't worked in the past?
Have you shared your diagnosis with anyone outside of your care team? If so, who and why?
Are you, as a whole, in a relationship? How does romantic partnership work for you?
How long have you been in treatment for DID?
When did you first learn/hear about DID, if it was prior to your diagnosis?
What misinformation about DID irks you the most?
What are some ways that depersonalization and derealization appear in your day to day life?
Do you have a favourite model of dissociation (eg. BASK, ToSD, 4D model)? Why?
How do you keep track of your symptoms and experiences?
What was your last therapy session like?
What is your favourite sense to ground yourself with? Olfactory, tactile, auditory, etc?
What are some ways that memory gaps appear in your day to day life?
Prior to your DID diagnosis, had you been misdiagnosed with other conditions?
Do you have a favourite movie, TV show, book, or video game that has a character with DID, or one that you believe has DID?
How do you experience emotions in relation to your DID? For you, how are emotions affected by dissociation?
How much internal communication do you have with parts? How do you, as a whole, prefer to communicate?
What are some ways that identity confusion appears in your day to day life?
What songs or specific lyrics do you relate to your experience with DID?
Are you diagnosed with other conditions? How do those conditions affect your DID, and vice versa?
Where is the safest place you can imagine for yourself as a whole?
How do you experience passive influence? How are you able to identify passive influence now, vs. when you first discovered your DID?
Have you read books on DID? If so, what are some of your favourites? What are some books you would like to read in the future?
How do you experience denial in relation to your DID? How do you deal with it?
Do you experience variation in skill correlating to levels of dissociation? If so, what skills stand out as most affected by dissociation?
In your experience, what are the hardest things about having DID in your day to day life?
Do you have a common trait amongst parts, such as a trauma response (or if you want to be less personal, hobbies or interests, etc)?
What is something you feel should be written about that was not asked here?
i wish i knew how people can have such stable systems. i feel like we constantly are splitting but they usually rarely front or stick around on and off. its fucked up
since simplyplural and octocon being shutdown this gives me the excuse to share some resources i have found.
fronting tracker apps
these are ones i've tested and looked around with features. theres possibly more out there. if you want more options looking up "system tracker" might be your best bet.
ourcana - links up with pluralkit and can sync fronting and member edits(icons, pronouns, display name, icon, description, etc)
works online as a webapp and on ios but you can add the website itself to your home screen on android and functions just like an app.
supports simplyplural and pluralkit imports and has a tarot theme to the app.
ampersand - completely offline system tracker that allows tracking, journaling with privacy settings and content warnings, board messages, displaying system roles, tag management, custom fields, asset management (i haven't used this much yet but it supports images) works as a webapp, desktop app, and on android.
supports pluralkit, simplyplural and tupperbox imports
systemconnect.replit - has options to display member relationships (closeness, relationship type, pairs, groups), headspace map, messaging, and adding other people as friends to see whos fronting with them, fronting analytics, discord webhook integration, iamge gallery for alters, private journals, .
from what ive seen i couldn't find an option to import simplyplural, octocon, pluralkit, or any other system tracking platform. seems to only work online/as a web app.
System resources
these are specifically articles, websites, and documents to help with either system management, coping skills, tracking symptoms, and overall proving information and resources for trauma support and complex dissociative disorders.
writelighthouse - specifically for system journaling with customizeable journals and keeping track of alter information. also provides resources and such on their website. currently only a website from what i've seen (im not an active user but i've used it in the past)
dis-sos.com/mapping - some suggestions and tips on how to cisualize and map your system, its alters, and the relationships and development of your system. the website also provides examples and visuals of these different types of mapping. the rest of this website provides more help and information for CDD systems
multipliedbyone.org/did-resources - a whole selection of links that lead to did resources and apps for systems, self help, depersonalization and derealization resources, trauma resources(peer support, ra/mc organized extreme abuse, ptsd/cptsd, assault, addiction, lgbtq mental health, helplines, and many more) and has even bigger sections dedicated to various amounts of needs. multipliedbyone as a whole seems like a great website for cdd help and information
the CTAD clinic - this specifically links to their youtube channel but they have a website included "The CTAD Clinic offers assessment and treatment for Complex Trauma and Dissociative conditions. We specialise in assessing, diagnosing and treating dissociative conditions, such as Dissociative Identity Disorder. We train professionals, such as psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists in diagnosing and working therapeutically with dissociation. Dr Mike Lloyd is the Clinic Director of Cheshire Psychology and The CTAD Clinic, and has lectured on the Doctorate Clinical Psychology courses at Liverpool and Lancaster Universities on Dissociative Disorders as well as at international conferences. Mike is a past Board Member of ESTD. We have a resources page, highlighting essential reading in the field of complex trauma and dissociation."
https://neloran.wordpress.com/for-survivors/worksheets/ - DID/OSDD symptom management and help worksheets (checklists, logs, profile checks, grounding, planning, etc)
and for misc things i have two document copied to help with being blurry and figuring out who you are in the moment here and here along with a alter mapping template that i setup via google docs, go ahead and copy it and tweak it to your needs.
idk what im doing still and im still stumbling around and seeing what i can do for myself and others but if this helps anyone then good. im not a professional and i've only dug around so far into these resoruces but theres plenty of options so atleast something in here might help.
