what if Karen shaves Frank's head? Or what if he does it in her bathroom when she offers him to crash on her couch? I'm already way too emo about Frank getting a haircut
apparently i have a thing for karen shaving frank because i felt compelled to write about it
It’s the quiet hours of the morning in Frank’s arms thatKaren loves the most.
Or even if she isn’t in his arms the fact that he is justthere next to her is enough. Warm and safe. And within distance to touch him.To kiss him. They are both lazy in the mornings and lazy kisses and touches areexchanged before words are spoken.
Frank is awake, but his eyes are still closed. He’s on hisback breathing steadily. He feels like he’s about to fall back asleep becauseKaren is running her fingers through his curly hair. She strokes his jaw alittle and as she moves closer to his mouth, he turns his head so his lipsconnect with her fingers.
“Are you ever going to shave this?” she asked, not reallysure if she wanted him to shave his beard or not.
“Might.” His voice cracked as he spoke. His voice thick withsleep.
Frank rolled over to kiss Karen, then he groaned as he gotup. He stretched and Karen shamelessly stared at his bare back as it moved. Heran a hand through his hair and seemed to think about something for a second. He walked towards the kitchen andstarted the coffee maker.
Karen groaned when she stood up too. She wasn’t a big fan ofMondays. But really who is?
“What do you have to do today Frank?” Karen asked as shebegin to dress for work.
He nodded towards a crate of guns on the floor by the bed. “Gottaclean those up. Work out the kinks.”
As she put on her makeup she smiled to herself, this was herlife. Frank’s mission today was cleaning up some guns. She could hear himpouring his coffee, and she heard him pour her a cup in her thermos to go. Shewas about to be late if she didn’t leave right then.
He handed her the coffee and kissed her cheek as she tookthe coffee.
And with a flash she was out of the apartment, and it wasquiet. Frank liked the quiet. Sometimes it was too quiet and he was haunted bybeing alone.
But not today. He felt good today.
He set his coffee down on the little kitchen table and gotthe crate of guns. He laid down his cleaning towel, careful not to scuff upKaren’s little kitchen table, not that she would really care. The table’ssurface was covered in coffee stains and scratches from a pen as Karen liked tohandwrite her article notes sometimes.
That’s how he spent most of the day. Cleaning the guns, andthen taking them apart and putting them back together. It was routine. Therewas order to it. It made sense to him. So much didn’t make sense. But not this.
He stopped to take a break for lunch because he knew Karenwould ask if he had eaten. He smiled a small smile at the memory of her gentlyreminding him to take care of himself when she’s gone. For him it wasn’t somuch forgetting to eat, it was being so focused on his task he didn’t realize wherethe time went.
Later in the afternoon, he found himself staring at hisreflection in the mirror. He was checking on his stitches from the nightbefore. There was a particular cut on his chest that was still sore. His wholebody was sore, but that was expected. And he couldn’t seem to shake theheadache he’d had all day.
He switched on the razor right when he heard Karen walk in.She followed the sound and Frank heard her heels click towards the bathroom, followed by a gasp when she saw him.
“I thought you were gonna shave your beard!” she giggled slightlyseeing that he was shaving his head.
“Someone pulled my hair too hard last night. Gave me a headache.”
“Sorry.” She blushed as she whispered her apology.
He stopped and set the razor down and reached out to makeher look at him.
“It wasn’t you. Shit you know I like your hands in my hair.”He gave her a sly smile, because Karen’s automatic response to Frank’s lovin’was to tug on his hair. “Yeah some asshole grabbed me last night, caught me offguard. Need to get rid of this. I’ll miss you tuggin’ on it though.” he gaveher a little wink.
“Are you gonna keep this?” she touched his beard softly.
“For now yeah.”
“Do you want me to help you?”
Without a word, Frank sat on the edge of the tub, and Karentook the razor off the counter. She combed her hands through what was left ofhis hair before she began to shave his head.
Frank closed his eyes, enjoying the feeling of Karen’s handson him again. When she was done, she leaned down and kissed the top of his freshlyshaved head. He leaned into her and wrapped his arms around her back. Her kneesbuckled a little. He steadied her with his hands and still with his headagainst her torso, he unzipped her skirt and tugged it down her legs.
She stepped out of it and he pulled her onto his lap so shewas straddling him. His hands ran up and down her thighs as she kissed him. Herarms were wrapped tight around his neck and she kissed his head exploring thenew territory. She smiled at the slight tickle of his short hair on her lipsand fingers. She didn’t even realize he’d unbuttoned her top until she felt hisbeard scrape against her skin on her neck and chest.
“Alright dad it’s your turn.” Maria said to Frank. Lisa andFrank Jr. were in the bathroom with Maria, and when Frank walked in, the kidsburst into a fit of giggles.
It’s Halloween, and at the Castle house the holiday is takenvery seriously. And Maria is getting the kids (and Frank) ready to gotrick-or-treating. Lisa is in a dinosaur costume, she wore it for a weekstraight when Maria bought it. Frank Jr is an astronaut. He is sort ofindifferent about what he wears, he’s gotten old enough now that he understandshe’s gonna get free candy (but he still makes little sounds when he walks inthe costume pretending he’s walking on the moon). Frank and Maria just aboutevery year go as Frankenstein and the Bride of Frankenstein. The people intheir neighborhood that know the Castles find it hilarious every year –especially since Frank isn’t always home, some years he’s overseas. So he makesthe most of Halloween when he’s home.
Frank is in his Frankenstein costume, but he needs his facepainted green. And according to him, Maria is “better at putting on the facepaint than he is.” Maria knows Frank is more than capable of putting on someface paint. She assumes he’s done it before for camo purposes. But she alsoknows that he loves her touch and who is she to deny touching her husband’sface?
The kids are already giggling at Frank’s costume alone, butthey really start to giggle when Mom puts makeup on Daddy.
But while the kids are laughing Frank and Maria are having atender moment. Maria smoothed the paint on his forehead, and along hischeekbones, and traced his jaw. He watched her as she focused on making surethe paint was even.
“Quit starin’ at me Castle you’re gonna make me mess up.”
“Can’t mess up this ugly mug.”
“Stop.” She laughed. Frank leaned in and was trying to kiss her. She laughed and pushed onhis chest.
“Frank!” she laughed as he grabbed her wrists and leaned into kiss her. “Don’t mess up my makeup!”she giggled. “You’re gonna get green all over me!” Maria had already done hermakeup, and she had elected for a grayish blue face makeup instead of green.
Lisa was giggling but Frank Jr said “Ick.”
Frank was grinning and he held still again for Maria tofinish up. Once she was done Frank turned to look at his reflection.
“Kids does daddy look scary?” he asked turning towards them.
“No!” Lisa laughed.
“No?” he frowned in pretend sadness. “Guess mom didn’t makeme scary enough.”
“Are you sure I’m not scary?” he asked and took a stepcloser to the kids.
“Nope!” they both were giggling hysterically now.
Frank growled in as much of a Frankenstein voice as possibleand reached his arms out to tickle both kids on their stomachs.
Maria laughed as they walked out of the house to go out inthe neighborhood, “Frank you’ve already gotten the kids all wound up and theyhaven’t even had any candy.”
“That a problem?” he smiled back, and took her hand in hisarm.
“No. I’m glad.” she said and patted on his arm with herother hand. “I can’t get them to laugh quite that hard.”
“I’ve seen you make them laugh.” Frank smiled thinking ofMaria’s silly voices she does in the morning to get the kids up.
“Oh I’m funny. And they laugh at Mom…they just laugh attheir goofball dad more.”
“Are you calling me goofy?” he said as they got to the firsthouse. They watched their kids skip up the sidewalk.
“Yeah I am, Castle, what are you gonna do about it. SAYTHANK YOU KIDS!” she called out toremind them as they took the candy.
“I can think of a few things. I am a monster after all.Think you might like that later.”
She rolled her eyes but grinned. “I’m a monster too Frank.”She grinned, then turned to the kids as they walked towards their parents, “Didyou guys get some good candy?”
Frank Jr already had his hand digging into the bucket ofcandy.
“Whoa whoa whoa little man, save it til you get home ok?”Frank told him. “You can’t tell how much loot you got if you eat it now.”
Frank Jr’s eyes widened and nodded his head, excited nowabout counting all his loot. Frank’s concern was making sure the candy was okfor them to eat, but he didn’t tell them that.
“Daddy?”
Frank turned when he heard Lisa’s voice behind him as theywalked.
“Am I a scary dinosaur?”
“Do you want to be scary?”
“No. I’m a triceratops. I’m a leaf eater. They are notscary. But the lady at that house said I was scary. I don’t want to scarepeople.”
“She wasn’t scared, she was just tryin’ to be nice, baby. Iknow you’re not scary.” He winked and took her hand as they continued to walkin the neighborhood.
“Frank Castle! Welcome back to the states!” a man calledout. Frank turned to see one of his neighbors out with his sontrick-or-treating.
Frank extended his free hand and shook the man’s hand. “Gladto see you back! Thank you for what you do.” Frank nodded as a humble reply. Frankand Maria and the man spoke while their kids walked up to the house together. Heand his son parted ways from the Castles when the son had gotten his candy fromthe house. And as the man left, he thanked Frank again for his service. Lisalooked up at Frank and smiled. She was proud of her dad. Frank gave her anotherlittle wink.
Frank Jr was starting to get tired, Frank noticed when hedidn’t make the little astronaut sounds anymore.
“You alright there bud?” Frank was still holding Lisa’shand, but he knelt down to Frank Jr’s level.
“Tired daddy.”
Frank wrapped his arm around Frank Jr and lifted him up. Hestood, still holding Lisa’s hand.
“Mommy!” Lisa reached her other hand out, “hold my handtoo.” Maria took Lisa’s candy bucket from her and held her other hand. Sheoffered to take Frank Jr’s but he was holding on tight.
Frank smiled as he took his little family home. He was proudof Lisa for not complaining that they left earlier than maybe should havewanted.
As they walked back down the street, a teenager in a skullmask jumped out of the bushes to scare one of his friends right when theCastles walked by. Lisa screamed and held Frank’s leg and began to cry. FrankJr was too preoccupied making sure no candy spilled out of his bucket to seewhat happened but he jumped when Lisa screamed.
“Daddy I didn’t like that.” Lisa said crying, stillclutching his leg.
Frank handed Frank Jr to Maria and Frank knelt to Lisa’slevel. “Don’t worry baby, it’s just a mask. I’m not gonna let anything hurt youok? It was kinda scary wasn’t it?”
She nodded, her eyes full of tears.
Frank was mad at that punk teenager. He wanted to give thatkid a piece of his mind, but now wasn’t the time for it.
Lisa was still shaking from her sobs and she was trying tocatch her breath.
“Hey remember what we do when you have bad dreams?”
Lisa nodded and grinned a little at the memory.
“One batch, two batch.” She said quietly.
“That’s right baby.”
He took her hand and walked his little family home.
Frank was actually excited about getting some candy. He didn’teat candy much, but it was a holiday and he has what he calls a “Dad Price.” Hechecks the kids candy to make sure it’s safe, he doesn’t tell them because hedoesn’t want to worry the kids, so he created the “Dad Price.” Meaning he’ll helpthem count their candy and because he dressed up he should get some candy too.Lisa has always offered her dad some of her candy. Even when she was reallylittle. She plays along and gives him “payment.”
When they got home, the kids dumped their candy on the floorin the living room, something which made them very excited.
Maria and Frank got on the floor with the kids and help themcount out their candy. Lisa was very organized, she put her candy into piles todetermine what she wanted to eat first. Frank Jr just wanted to know how manypieces he had and wanted to know how much he could eat that night.
“You can’t eat all of it or you’ll get a tummy ache.” Lisatold him.
Frank smiled watching Lisa look out for her little brother.
Maria was trying to negotiate with Frank Jr, telling him hewould be able to eat all of the candy at some point just not right this minute. He quickly got over it when she handed him the popcorn ball he’d gotten. Shetook a Reese’s out of Frank Jr and handed it to Frank.
“You like Reese’s daddy?” Lisa asked when she saw Frankopening the candy wrapper.
“They’re my favorite.” He said and popped it into his mouth.
She glanced at her organized candy pile and scooted the pileof Reese’s in Frank’s direction.
“Dad price.” She said seriously.
“You sure you wanna give me all of these?”
“Yep! It’s cuz I love you daddy! I forgot you used to likethis stuff, and they’re your favorite!”
Frank’s smile lit up his face, and he leaned down and kissedthe top of her head. And he laughed at her saying “this stuff” because Frankdoesn’t usually eat much candy.
“My sweet girl.” He smiled down at her.
“Alright kiddos let’s get out of those costumes.” Mariasaid, “Go on upstairs and I’ll come up and help ok?”
The kids did as she asked and went upstairs, both tired fromtheir long night of walking.
“You gonna help me out of my costume?” Frank teased.
“I’m gonna help you get that makeup off your face cuz I don’twant you getting green all over the pillowcase.”
Frank smirked, and collected his “Dad Price” candy.
“That was sweet of her.” Frank said as him and Maria headedupstairs.
“Not really.” Maria laughed. “She hates Reese’s. She justplayed you. Little trick and a treat.”
“That’s my girl.” Frank laughed.
“She does love you. She’d do anything for you, you know thatright?”
“I know.”
Frank told the kids goodnight, and went to set his candydown somewhere before it melted in his hands. He sat on the end of the bed andset the pile next to him and starting eating the Reese’s.
Maria had gotten the kids in bed and was in the masterbathroom taking down her hair and washing her face.
“Frank I’ll get to you in a sec ok?”
“Mhmm.” was his muffled reply, his mouth full of a Reese’s.
“Frank why do you shove those into your mouth whole? Don’tyou like to take bites? …..Don’t answer that.”
“Knew what I was gonna say didn’t you?” Frank snorted out alaugh and unwrapped another Reese’s.
After she changed into her PJs (which was an old marineshirt of Frank’s and shorts), she grabbed some makeup removal wipes and paddedover to Frank who was still eating candy at the end of the bed.
“Frank!” she gasped when she saw that the wrapper pile wasbigger than the candy pile. “You’re daughter knows better than you not to eatall that candy.”
He shrugged and sat still so she could wipe the green off ofhis face. She kissed his forehead softly when she was done. Frank pulled herinto his lap and Maria began to lazily kiss his lips.
Frank’s eyes had darkened when he pulled away.
“You gonna help me out of my costume now?”
“Get your ass up marine and I will.”
She got of his lap and he stood, but when he stood hegroaned.
“Too much candy Frankenstein?” she asked.
“Yeah.” he replied defeated.
“Thought so.” She patted his stomach. “Can’t ruin thosedefined abs marine.”
“Help me out of this costume and I’ve got a good workout inmind.”
“I bet you do.” she said as she leaned in close to Frank, onlyto then reach behind him and take a couple of the Reese’s still sitting on thebed.
She hopped up on the bed and happily unwrapped the candywhile Frank stood dumbfounded in the center of the room.
“Thought you were gonna help me out of this thing.” He saidwith an eyebrow raised.
“I never said that.” She replied obviously lying, and took a bite of Reese’s.
Frank grinned lovingly at his sarcastic wife. He walked overto her and leaned down to give her a soft kiss. She tasted like chocolate andpeanut butter.
“Sweeter than that candy.” Frank whispered as he pulled away.
“Cheeseball.” Maria rolled her eyes but smiled and playfullyshoved his chest. “Get out of that ridiculous thing, and get up here with me.”
“Yes ma’am.” He nodded and stole another sweet kiss beforehe slipped out of his costume, and into bed with his bride.
Karen sitting on the counter as she watched Frank shave his beard.
“You gonna say goodbye?” Frank teased as he watched Karenhop up on the counter.
“Maybe I am.” She replied back with a grin.
Frank shook his head and the corner of his mouth turned upwhen he caught her eye.
It was quiet that morning. Karen was off that day, and theboth of them had stayed in bed a little longer than usual. Frank got up firstand headed towards the bathroom. Karen didn’t pay any mind until she heard abuzzing. She got out of bed, curiosity getting the better of her, and shecracked the door open. Frank had an electric razor in his hand, and somescissors were on the counter. He hadn’t started shaving yet, and he set therazor down when he heard Karen open the door.
“Can I help you with somethin’ Page?” he asked, noteven turning his head to look at her. Hewas grinning a little – he was messing with her.
“Are you shaving?” she asked and opened the door all theway.
“Was planning on it.”
Karen pouted a little and reached out to touch his beardedcheek. He leaned into her touch and turned his head a little to press his lipsonto her wrist. He nibbled a little and started to kiss a little up her arm. Hestopped when he got to her elbow, and looked up at her.
He did that sometimes. Just looked. If he looked too long Karenwould feel her cheeks getting pink. His gaze is so heavy. And Karen oftenwonders what he’s thinking. This time she has no clue, and she tugs her armaway from him to hop up on the counter next to the sink.
“You gonna say goodbye?” Frank teased as he watched Karenhop up on the counter.
“Maybe I am.” She replied back with a grin.
Frank shook his head and the corner of his mouth turned upwhen he caught her eye.
“Ya sure you don’t want me to use it one more time?” Frank’svoice dropped lower and he moved to stand in front of Karen on the counter. Hishands went to her thighs and began to move up and down on her skin.
Karen’s hands went to his face and ran her fingers throughhis beard. She pulled him towards herand kissed him firmly. As she kissed him she enjoyed the feeling of his beardunder hands and the slight scratch of it on her face as he kissed her. Hishands were still on her thighs, they had stopped moving up and down, and he wassqueezing her thighs now. He pushed her thighs apart and stood closer to her.He moved one hand to wrap around her back, his other hand was working its wayunder her shirt.
He was kissing her so aggressively now her back was againstthe wall. She was slanted so far back he had to hold her with his hand to keepher pressed to him. His fingertips were digging into her flesh and kneading onsensitive skin. And his lips were kissing hers over and over. She could hearhis soft breaths and slight moans and she didn’t even know when she had wrappedher legs around his waist pulling him even closer. Frank moved his lips fromhers and dragged his mouth across her skin to kiss her neck. His beard tickleda little but the scratch of it was making Karen tremble. His lips were soft asthey pressed into her skin. She gasped rather loudly when he bit down onto herneck. He worked a good hickey on her pale skin.
When he pulled away, he looked over his work and grinnedrather smugly. Her cheeks were flushed, her lips were swollen, her tshirt waswrinkled from Frank having had his hand under it, there was a bright hickey alreadyforming on her neck and surrounding it was pink skin from the scrape of hisbeard. Her chest was heaving and her legs still hadn’t moved from around hiswaist.
“You gonna let me shave now?” he teased with a wink.
“You gonna finish what you just started?”
“Absolutely.” He squeezed her thighs again playfully and hepulled back to go back over to the sink to shave. She sat and watched him, still flustered from before. She enjoyed watching his arms and hands move. Andevery now and then he’d steal a glance at her and smile a little.
She gasped when she saw his fresh face after he hadcompletely shaved.
“I’d almost forgotten what you looked like!”
Karen had barely finished that sentence when he was on heragain. He moved to stand between her legs and kissed her lips. Her legs wrappedaround him tight and with one arm around her he pulled her off the counter. Shewrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him with everything she had as hewalked her to their bed.
Frank sat on the end of the bed with Karen in his lap.Her hands were on the back of his head and she began to kiss his face.
“Didn’t know me shavin’ would get you all wound up, Page.”Frank laughed as Karen kissed his freshly clean shaven cheeks over and over. Asshe kissed him, his hands crept under her shirt on her back. His fingers weredigging into her shoulder blades.
“Shut up and kiss me Castle. You have a promise to keep.”She whispered into his ear right before she kissed it.
“Yes ma’am.” He stood up and laid her on the bed and climbedon top of her.
He had a promise to keep and he was a man of his word.
ok so with all this kastle stuff coming out now that karen is going to be in the punisher series (!!!) i’ve been thinking...and @holysmitten said i should write some meta based on the tags i wrote on THIS post. so here are some thoughts i have!
first let me say that i love kastle i adore kastle and they are my otp. however. i do not want them to be canon (romantically) in the punisher series. if you do, that’s great!! i’m not gonna discourage you from it! all i’m saying is i don’t think it would fit with frank’s character especially.
here’s why: first of all, he became the punisher because of the loss of his wife and children. before they died he was in the marines, and after his family died, all he has left is his military training. so he’s continuing that war, but instead of overseas, he’s in hell’s kitchen killing people who were involved in his family’s death, and later he hunts down people who are hurting other families (human trafficking etc). and as far as relationships go? frank is NOT prepared mentally to move on. i think he is drawn to karen because she treats him like a human and actually cares about him and hurts for him. but the ache he feels for his wife is not gone. frank told matt in the graveyard scene he was too tired to take his wife to bed. frank regrets this or he wouldn’t have brought it up. so i think for frank - sex is something very very intimate. now in the comics when frank is the punisher he has some sexual encounters - but they are not romantic attachments, just a one night stand type of thing. and that would not be fair to karen and i think frank knows this. he knows he cannot give her the kind of relationship she deserves. he obviously cares about her, he saved her life. and then he told her to leave him alone. he does not want to hurt her. he knows she cares about him and because he can’t give her emotional support he pushes her away.
that burden would not be fair to karen. she may think she is ready for it, but it’s not fair. she would have to constantly worry about her safety and she would have to live a lie if she “dated” frank. the emotional toll on her would be extremely heavy (it’d be heavy if she were w/ matt as well but with frank it’s different). and frank is aware of this. he doesn’t want anyone else hurt (unless they deserve it) and he respects karen too much to put her through that. and tbh i just don’t think frank has it in him anymore. part of him died when his wife died. the way he talked about her in the diner scene, like this man LOVED his wife so much. i imagine he would feel guilty for ever moving on at least romantically. especially so soon.
so. since we know we are getting some frank and karen interaction which i am extremely happy about!! i just hope that they have a relationship of trust and teasing and comfortableness. maybe they help each other. and i also think it would be interesting if karen admitted to having feelings for frank - and he shuts her down (gently of course) MAYBE WITH A KISS ON THE CHEEK OR FOREHEAD!!! i’d settle for a hug even. i just want them to be there for each other, but for the sake of karen AND frank i think that the shouldn’t have a romantic relationship with each other as far as the show goes. and i don’t think frank should have one at all. NOW AS FAR AS FIC GOES...GIMME!!! GIMME ALL THE KASTLE!! gimme fics gimme aus gimme headcanons all of it!!
so long story short: what i want for kastle as far as the punisher series goes, i want them to be the ULTIMATE brotp (with a lot of sexual tension) while in my fic and aus they are my otp in a romantic sense because i can’t get enough kastle fic.
Kastle + Karen dragging Frank to a yoga class when he would much rather lift
Karen burst through the front door of her apartment, withgrocery bags in her arms.
“Frank you home?”
Right as she finishedasking she saw him standing in the kitchen. He had ducked behind the counter topick up something. Without a word, he walked over to her and took several ofthe groceries from her arms. He set the grocery bags on the table and began to unpackthem.
Karen set hers on the counter and did the same. Since herkitchen was so small, Frank handed her the groceries as he unpacked them forher to put away. Were her kitchen bigger he’d put them away himself, he knewwhere everything was.
Frank pulled a dvd out of the last bag and snickered alittle as he looked at the cover.
“Yoga?”
“Yeah what about it? I want to be more flexible.” Karenreplied. She caught Frank’s smirk which earned him a playful slap on his arm. “Notlike that! I’m on my feet a lot and I want loosen up some. And I don’t havetime for a class so I bought a dvd to help…You should do it with me.”
“Alright.” He shrugged.
“I know you’d rather work out to relax- wait you’ll do it?” Shethought she’d have to press him into doing it.
He shook his head and snorted out a laugh. “That ain’t whatI’d call relaxing.”
He didn’t say any more about it but Karen knew he wasagreeing because he knew it would be good for him physically, it’d help to relievesome of the physical tension she knows he has to have.
A few moments later they had both changed into betterworkout clothes and she put the dvd in. Frank was surprisingly attentive, andafter about 5 minutes Karen was regretting asking him to join.
He was so much better than her, as far as balance wasconcerned.
She huffed out a response as her arms felt a little shakytrying to stretch and hold herself up.
“Don’t look at me Page, focus on your own breathing. Let itrelax you.” Frank spoke softly. Karen was just more and more surprised by him.
“How do you do keep your body in a straight line like that?”She asked, she’d sort of given up and was watching him.
Frank stood and motioned for her to stand. “Here.” He stoodbehind her and put his hands on her hips and helped her stretch her limbs. Heshowed her a lot of different positions (and snuck in a few kisses) and beforelong the dvd was forgotten.
“I didn’t know you knew how to do all that!” Karen said oncethey were done. She’d walked into the kitchen to grab her and Frank some water.
“My uh…my wife, when she was pregnant with Lisa, she had alot of back pain. She did a lot of yoga to stretch. But she needed my helpsince she was top heavy with the baby.” Frank said with a little chuckle as ifhe remembered a happy moment. “I picked up a few things from classes she tookme to.”
“Sounds like you were good support for her.” Karen saidgently as she handed him the bottle.
“Oh she was my support. I didn’t know what I was doin’ I wasso scared.” He chuckled. “She was so ready to be a mom, it’s like she knew whatshe was doing. At least that’s how she acted.”
Frank sat at the table and took a swig from the waterbottle. When Karen walked by she patted him on the shoulder, and kissed the topof his head.
“Thank you for helping me.”
He knew she wasn’t just talking about yoga.
“Anytime.”
She smiled as she walked towards the bathroom to shower, sheknew he wasn’t just talking about the yoga either.
