Being a writer that basically writes exclusively queer stuff (both fan fiction and original concepts) with family constantly pestering me about what I’m writing is crazy dawg

The family members that ask about my writing aren’t 100% chill about the gays so when they see me writing (which is something I’m doing 80% of the time now) they for some fucking reason wanna know what I’m doing

Even if they were down with gay people I wouldn’t want these fucks to know that I’m using my creative writing degree to write fucking House MD fan fiction

I swear I’m also working on original content because I’m starting grad school in two months and I need to get a fucking grip but right now I’m so fried from having to be a serious academic writer and need a break

First real chance I’ve had to Use My Degree™️ since graduating last month was playing that one Jackbox game where everyone are robots engaged in a rap battle to save a city (????) and I got first place.

I think all of my lyrics from the three rounds were pretty good but I think I really outdid myself with “can’t get over me. I’m like a case of gonorrhea. You’re all up in my DMs. I don’t even wanna see ya”

But that is closely to be followed up by “this won’t end well for you just like Abraham Lincoln. If I catch you on my block im shootin without thinkin”

like. neo-classical is still neo-classical because it takes a lot from classical builds. yes, the way they use those aspects is different to what they would have originally represented but it still cares about things like classical order, etc. I don't doubt there are similarities between art deco and this "new deco" but if you write an article that only focuses on the differences then. what's the point in comparing the two?
