Vrasubatlat is a very interesting new label from Portland I came across recently. Its founder, Rory Flay is a very prolific musician and is part of all the bands of their catalog (he’s also a member of Ash Borer and played live with Skaphe among other things). The bands’ style is black and death metal mostly and besides this fantastic band above, I’ve also loved Adzalaan, Serum Dreg and Dagger Lust. Definitely worth checking out.

Uškumgallu är något mystiskt projekt från Portland så man kan ju tro att det handlar om sk. hipster black men jag tycker detta känns lite djupare än så. Nu är jag inte någon expert på varken detta bands filosofi eller bakomliggande tanke. Låttiteln Rotten Limbs och även verkets namn “Rotten Limbs in Dreams of blood” får mig lite att tänka på Torture Chain som jag gillar. Även musiken tycker jag känns ganska rå amerikansk black metal, tänk band som ingår i Crepsculo Negro och liknande samt Gnosis of The Witch (numera Veiled).  Jag gillar detta.
