-destroys pool noodle- Just need to shape 'em, and the tail innards will be done :3
Gotta stitch them in, but...at least it looks like my other wig :D
Eaaaaars~ I've also not slept yet... Time to let the rubber cement rest and work on finishing it tomorrow. Need to find a box...that will fit both the fuzzy caterpillar as well as the wig.
Well...guess I need to make a trip to the craft store D:;;;
I’ve no idea where my contact cement is. It’s the only thing I need to put these ears together, otherwise everything’s been done in like...an hour :D;;
Gotta find my heat gun so I can bend the ears into shape, but, hey, progress :3
Sun and Moon FFXIV inspired Haoris
Artwork done by @shirtlesslizard Physical cosplays and artwork replication by me
These were originally supposed to be a surprise, but upon posting the progress on the pink sleeve, the artist figured me out (I’m also really bad at keeping secrets :D). I originally had Kori design the haori because I’m actually having art done that has the full haori shown, and the one image that they have in their reference folder...well, it’s not that great to show off the details. So, my sneaky ass had them draw it out and shove it in the reference folder.
Since we’re going to a cherry blossom festival when I visit, I figured it’d be nice to have something to make it just a bit more memorable and a bit more fun, so I decided I’d bust my ass and make Korekaze’s haori and make a version for Utai. We have a bit of a headcanon that if they were to have something matching, Korekaze’s mother would end up making it, and since Korekaze’s haori is actually canon (and made by his mother), I figured the mother would go off of Utai’s own color scheme and paint the design similar save for the proper emblem (Utai being Korekaze’s Moon). That would also explain why there’s no real ‘design’ for the pink haori.
I’m also aware that gold doesn’t show up very well in the images on the pink - it does in person. I also intend on remaking the pink one and changing the color scheme to blue and silver to properly ‘showcase’ the moon since gold pops really well on the red and works for the sun.
Had one 'stem' left and tried out a 3 colored rose. So I have a Captain America or 4th of July inspired rose. Interesting since I figured out the math, so it's possible to go as high as 3 colors and it'd still look right :D
Another rose done…
So many roses~ at least I do enjoy making them.
