azules con agave by Ute Via Flickr: , , , , , The first in my new series of photos taken at the old Hacienda El Carmen, a most beauitful and exquisit Hotel here in Jalisco, Mexico... during our stay over the weekend. The History of the Hacienda El Carmen started back in 1569, when Francisco Merodio of Velasco by the mercy of the king, was given the 22,000 hectares as a gift!!! Construction of the actual Hacienda only started in 1727... over the old caserios, (hamlets). I will write more about it's history as i will post the photos. I'm still not quite home/here yet... still living in this Hacienda dream, a place of unmeasurable beauty... eye-candy, and awesome photo opps.... and i went ALL OUT... and all the way UP (((: You will see!!!!! This wa taken up on the mirador, second level rooms above the main building!
