ppl hate dusttale WAY too much. at least the canon version (murder!sans by ask-dusttale), not the fanon version popularized by evan streblow's game or the comics made for it.

the main criticism is usually "sans would never kill" or "sans wouldn't even show up after learning about all the genocides" but you have to realize he canonically thought of everything he could do, it's official he likely hid at first, realized it wouldn't change, then tried getting help by others (undyne, asgore, possibly flowey). HE WAS CALLED CRAZY AND SHUT AWAY BY EVERYONE ... do you KNOW how bad that'd fuck someone up??? not to mention the fact he'd likely end up thinking that the human was just too strong at the corridor so he could beat them right after ruins JUST TO LOSE AGAIN AND AGAIN? disbelief could genuinely be a timeline of pre-murder sans dusttale!!!! all this just for him to realize he'd need to sacrifice others due to his own weakness AFTER COUNTLESS ATTEMPTS OF ANYTHING ELSE. ffs he even tried sacrificing only a little to just get enough LV to win, but due to the law of LV he obviously grew distant and lost his reasoning and morals!!!! sans was simply too weak to do anything else.

which brings me onto my next point: sans' strength, ppl CONSTANTLY downplay sans' strength due to the overhyping he got before. sans does NOT lose to a froggit or even anyone in snowdin. even doing 1 damage he'd likely beat everyone in snowdin excluding like papyrus. if he started there or (like dusttale) waterfall, he'd eventually get strong enough to handle bigger and badder monsters, which he can easily get to that point by off guarding and draining them. ig anyone was to ruin sans up it'd be two ppl: papyrus and undyne, undyne would be immediate to see the genocide and attack sans (and in fact has canonically) while he's at low LV, which if he plays bad could kill him. with papyrus it's more of an emotional thing, he likely didn't kill him several times until learning that the human would no matter what. eventually that would help his LV ridden mind choose to do such a thing.

murder!sans isn't an idiot. nor is dusttale bad. (in fact I personally think it's one of the better UT alt timelines)

I've noticed a trend in the UTMV fandom that annoys me:

Nightmare: Has no empathy for anyone else, takes advantage of everyone around him, kills Killer's cat because it was making him too happy, forces his whole team to be miserable, has his entire motive revolve around bringing the whole multiverse into negativity, turned Dream into stone because he wanted the last gold apple to be in good condition without care for his wellbeing.

Fandom: OMG! He's such a good father! He loves his boys more than anything! He has a soft spot for his brother!

Horror: Tears off Aliza's arm, eats it, lets her gets burned alive by Grillby, doesn't care about her safety unless he can make a joke out of it, lies about being related to her because he hates Undyne and doesn't want her to take Aliza's soul.

Fandom: Aw, he sees her as his daughter! He's so good at taking care of people! He's just a big old teddy bear that doesn't want to hurt anyone and loves food!

Now, I usually don’t care when someone comes out as a proshipper. But people are allowed to feel disgusted by something. Especially if they are CSA survivor. Horrortale is filled with all kinds of nasty things, I get that! But people are triggered by different things. Some might find a little girl aged up for suggestive ship art with a man who enjoys abusing her WEIRD. I’m not that big of a fan of Horrortale like some diehard fans but I can recognize that as WEIRD. And I very much enjoy toxic ships but not ones that stray into something like this. People are allowed to find that disgusting.

There was another submission I saw too, but I didn’t care to read much of it. Something about sending witch-hunts to creators that didn’t actually hurt children. Yea, I agree with that. I don’t care enough to send hate towards anyone but I haven’t seen many people doing that in this particular situation so…? Just people making jokes of this whole thing or being more than shocked or like I said earlier— disgusted. I still don’t think people should go and harass them for this. It’s better for your mental health to curate your space that’ll appease you. Anyway… you don’t know if these people aren’t doing real good in the world. They’re strangers on the internet and people can care about two or multiple different things at once lmao.

SAS can draw whatever they want with their own characters, yes. But the fans can react to what they draw and post however they want to. They can feel grossed out and disagree with their actions lol. They can choose not to support SAS and just separate art from the artist too. That’s not a big deal because most human beings feel this way when faced with ships of this kind.

While i dont know the whole situation and im mostly going off what ive heard, they didnt HAVE to post that publicly. It could have very well have been a private commission that no one HAD to see. (Used they cus idk their pronouns sorry)

Even so, people have every right to be uncomfortable with someone willing to publicly post that stuff. It CAN be harmful and triggering to many.

What they made may be "just fiction" but the decision to make it public is reality.

Do i think its something worth absolutely never interacting with horrortale again? No. But i also dont think you should get upset at people who are upset at the situation.

I’ve shipped Frans since day one…

I kinda left the media side of the UT fandom in 2018 and don’t come back until 2024, so lo and behold, now Frans is considered proship and anyone who ships it is considered an outcast by half the fandom.

I just want to enjoy my favorite ship in peace without being called a proshipper when like 99% of Frans shippers aren’t…

I also admit I don’t like Sanscest. It’s weird to me, but I’m not gonna hate on anyone who ships it bc I’m not that kind of person.

I think people need to learn to respect others’ opinions and preferences. Everyone has different ones, so just agree to disagree.

I hate when people use error's fear as a joke.

Ive seen some comics in which the joke is basically "HAHA LOOK! ERROR IS GETTING TOUCHED AND HES YELLING AT [INSERR CHARACTER] TO STOP! ISNT IT FUNNY?"

Im just tired of seeing that shit cuz like. Its not funny bro.
