Interesting observation of the day:

Utopia is the only opera where the villains are introduced before any of the protagonists.

(Unless you count Edwin, which I don't because Trial has no real protagonist/antagonist dichotomy.)

Fandom: Gilbert & Sullivan!

M/F OTP:  Despard Murgatroyd and Mad Margaret; Grand Duke Rudolph and Baroness von Krakenfeldt

M/M OTP: Montararat and Tolloller

F/F OTP: ... probably Ida and Psyche?  Though I once saw a Pirates that paired Edith and Ruth and it was really cool.

OT3:  Hmmm... I’m honestly not sure if I have one?  Hilarion/Cyril/Florian are probably my favorite BroT3, though.  

Favorite Headcanon:  Utopia as Future England and Lady Sophy as a Time-Traveller.   Also, I really like stagings of Trial that cast the lawyer as a woman. 

Favorite Crack: For a crack ship- Sir Joseph and Dick Deadeye.  For a crack staging, probably a production of The Sorcerer I saw last year where after Wells is condemned, he sits down on the floor of the stage.  Towards the end of the finale, Dumbledore and McGonagall walked onstage, waved their wands to freeze the chorus, and handed JWW a cloak, and the supertitles said “Welcome to Wizard School, Professor Wells”

Guilty Pleasure:  That’s gotta be all of my Ruddigore headcanons, particularly having a Murgatroyd as my main character in Hogwarts Mystery.  Also Evil Time Travel, of course.

Pairing I Hate:  Alexis and Aline.  Alexis is a butt, and Aline can do so much better.
