Again. Again. Again. The word bounced around Lucretia’s mind endlessly. Again. Another time she’d been given an easy task - blend in, and act natural - and again, she’d ruined it. She was incapable of being relaxed in the face of any violence or danger whatsoever. Terrified, her entire body shaking, she’d only gotten out of there because a girl she vaguely recognized helped her out. Now, she was standing outside, the bracing night air against her bare arms, yet she could barely feel it because of just how stupid she felt. Unfocused, unprepared, unhappy, as usual. And alone. Well, she thought she was - because of her numbed reactions, she didn’t hear anyone walk up next to her, even ask her a question.
