Assamese actor Utpal Das is keen to work in Bollywood
Famous Assamese actor Utpal Das is all keen and set to work in Bollywood. Expressing his desire to take up challenging roles Utpal says, "I'm interested to work in Bollywood. I prefer roles which challenge my credibility as an actor to cater to a wider audience of the entertainment industry,"
After working in films like Dhan Kuberor Dhon, Raamdhenu, Borolar Ghor Durjon and Konwarpurar Konwar and more, Utpal feels "there is abundance of talented people in the North East region who are deprived of the acknowledgment they deserve due to various reasons". "This is an unfortunate case but with keen interest and proper channelization of talent management groups or bodies, this aspect could be changed of talent growth and facilitating the right talent for the desired requirement," he added.
The actor recently got associated with Pantaloons for Bihu Xubhojatra. Pantaloons is an Aditya Birla Fashion and Retail Ltd. which celebrated there 10 years of the opening of their first store at DT Tower, Guwahati. They thanked the people of Guwahati by making a 2.5 km long Bihu Xubojatra earlier this month. Pantaloons has enriched its range of products recently by focusing more on ethnic women apparels.
Utpal in his interview with a leading news daily said that this was one of its kind event and he enjoyed being a part of it. He is one of the renowned celebrities of Assamese cinema and has garnered great praise in his short span of career. He appears all groomed and talented to become a part of the Bollywood fraternity. However, he has his own rules to start in Bollywood which includes a challenging role to start with.
