That’s like, half the reason for this AU. Poor Jean and Kevin are just caught up in the whirlwind that Riko, Nathaniel, and Andrew create.

When I sing for my students when I teach them a song, sometimes it tires me so much I don’t want to sing for myself then when I’m back home ;v; that’s why during those few days of break I finally could sing for myself again and it felt good again <333

These were all the moments we missed when Lan Zhan was on his own. These are the time he begins to grow more freely, using his voice more instead of the Sect’s. he goes from obeying the rules and only using the sword to teaching the juniors to use wwx’s flags and compass - there’s gotta be something in the middle there that makes that happen and I think it’s this realisation that living by so many rules is utterly fucked up.
