so here is what NOT to do if you’re a loyal fan of adobe who has the cash to shell out for a newer and shittier version of the product you already paid for.
1) DON’T use your search bar to find and open the Run app
2) DON’T type in services.msc
3) DON’T find Adobe Genuine Software Integrity Services and right-click to get a dropdown menu, and don’t select ‘properties’
4) if you happen to click properties, DON’T use the startup type dropdown to locate the option to disable the program. be sure you DON’T click apply to finalize that change.
5) DO NOT do the same thing in order to also disable Adobe Genuine Software Monitor
if you do all of these things, this WILL disable adobe’s ability to monitor the software, and you will be forced to continue using the same older software that you already paid for instead of having to sign up for a newer, shittier version and pay more for it. so if you have lots of cash to spare and are cool with putting it the pockets of racketeering capitalists, definitely don’t do any of these things.
however, you SHOULD reblog this to spread the word, as we certainly want to make sure lots of people know what NOT to do :)

I was GOING to say. That when you read a wine menu and see something like "notes of leather and wet stone" you think "did an insane person write this its grapes" but after youve read about wine and growing regions and the effect of oak barrels on aging and tasted a bunch of stuff and given it some thought you find yourself taking a sip of french syrah and thinking "mmm little bit of leather on the finish there" and all of a sudden that shits not crazy anymore. Youve been cooked in the soup. Youve been living in the monkey house.
the thing about being in a fandom for a long time is you inevitably develop very intense opinions about things you know objectively are absolutely meaningless but nonetheless make you want to gnaw through drywall like a feral cat and there’s just nothing you can do about that
And then you’re in fandom even longer and the drywall isn’t quite so tasty anymore so you just pick up your catnip kicker and play in the corner and sometimes you get treats.
the thing with getting back into writing is...I really want to be a little more verbose, beef up the prose a little more with interesting descriptions or even character commentary that is still relevant and necessary...but I can’t seem to do it??
Quite a few comments/bookmarks on AO3 have mentioned that I use very minimal words to express something and I know it’s meant to be a compliment (and I do take it as one!! I like being concise!!!) but I also read a lot of other fics where their prose between dialogue is A++++ and I want to do that too :(

Very cute! Snakes can drink water in a more normal-looking way - but the cup setup is a little awkward, and anyway lots of snakes like to be a bit silly with it! I have several who like to drink water exclusively with their heads resting on the bottom of their water bowls!
