I hear devious duo?

they died actually. devious duo is dead so here's some angsty hcs of them

Spoke used to hold Mapicc's hand when they went to sleep because it helped him stop thinking so much. he tried to hold his hand during their fight in the labyrinth but Mapicc just swatted him away

with each time Mapicc was taken away Spoke just grew more and more attached to him. it wasn't so bad during the Mafia and even when BAT was after him, but during those weeks he was in the Farlands Spoke went through literal hell, having nightmares almost every night and constant tachycardias

Spoke has always hated traveling through the nether because his body absorbs a lot of heat and makes him dizzy. that, plus how little he's eaten and all the blood he's lost after Null took him made him too weak to walk, making them have to drag his barely conscious body to wherever they're taking him

Mapicc has always enabled Spoke to keep causing chaos and mayhem, not quite realizing his silence and/or encouragement were part of the reason he turned out this way. after Jamato told him everything, he realized what he had "caused" and killing Spoke would be his way of redeeming himself

sometimes Spoke would start spiraling thinking of everything he had done and so scared of the consequences he'd have to face; Mapicc finding out was always the worst scenario. during those episodes, only Mapicc was able to snap him out, but Spoke would never tell him anything, he'd just start apologizing and making Mapicc promise he'd never leave him even if he was a horrible person

when the night was too quiet to sleep, they'd start talking about their future plans together. sometimes they'd go to a different server, some others they'd move in with Minute in the End, but it never crossed their minds that they would be away from each other

headcanon: when their friendship was still new, Spoke and Mapicc would sometimes share/talk about their respective cultures and upbringings with one another because of how drastically different they are (Spoke being from the End (specifically away from where Minute would reside later), Mapicc being from the Nether)

example: Mapicc would share how his life in the Nether was rather unpredictable and oftentimes vitriolic, while Spoke would share how his life in the End could be repetitive and dull, and they'd compare their upbringings from each other's perspectives

(lighter than what i usually share but they make me ill enough as is. i also have a lot of general headcanons about how baseline minecraft is mwhehehe)

we love devious duo hc in this house

even to this day, when they know pretty much everything about each other they definitely still find stuff to share that makes them go "why didn't i know about this?", and most of the time it's just small things like "there used to be this black rock near my door, i always tripped on it on my way out" or something like that

adding to this, i like to think they compare their experiences, both good and bad, and even compete to see who had it worse (both were rough, but in different ways)

i have the hc that him, Mugm, and Tai are brothers (in that order). they are voidlings who were found and adopted by the ender dragon (that's how they became royalty)

despite him being the oldest, Tai was the heir to the throne. Minute abdicated to become a royal guard and Mugm was exiled from the end for an unknown reason

he's trying to get rid of his habit of hoarding riches like gold and diamonds (dragons do that) by giving away stuff to his friends

out of all voidlings, he has the densest void, which is why he can barely shapeshift (he only makes his wings bigger)

he loves astronomy and has memorized all constellations and their place in the night sky. he's tried teaching them to Wemmbu and Spoke but none of them are interested; only Egg listens to him

he used to have the prettiest wings, pure white and faintly glowing. they used to give regeneration and absorption effects to whoever they covered

him and Nufuli met when they were kids, both of them had gotten lost near a beach and decided to stick together. Leo was actually the one who taught Nuf how to walk

after the director arc, he unconsciously held a lot of hatred for invis players; he used to retaliate by treating Jumper's spies badly and like they were disposable

after attempting to kill Parrot his wings started to lose feathers and his halo began to disappear. by the time he tried to kill Spoke, his wings were already too small for him to fly and they had a dark tint to them

he became so obsessed with killing Spoke that he genuinely forgot about everything else. you could've asked him about the golden days of BAT and he wouldn't have been able to answer

i hc that minute and wemmbu have known each other since they were kids, they practically grew up together but they didn't get along because minute was the perfect prince while wemmbu was the family disappointment

minute tried to befriend him but their interactions always became awkward and ended up with minute scolding him for something wemmbu was doing. they only became friends after wemmbu lost his memory and minute could start fresh with him; he refuses to tell wemmbu about himself pre-memory lose
