The Magnus Archives is wild. Sometimes it’s like ‘here is my in-depth description of everything leading up to my demonic possession and canibalism, it has ties to a larger story playing out so pay attention to all the details’ and then sometimes it’s just like ‘ya my son was eaten by the sky haven’t seen him since’
Do you have any tips on making the monthly torment, well, less... tormenting? D:
I usually deal with it and have a heating pad almost all times during the first 3-4 days. It surprisingly works far better than pain killers, but I'm thankful for that! I hate taking medicine... and I don't want to take pain killers every month, let alone risk their freakish side effects I later discovered anyhow.
But, what bothers me most every month isn't so much the pain. It's the fact that I get so light-headed and fatigued from the.... blood loss.
My body suddenly loses strength too, and it annoys the heck outta me! I'm quite happy with how strong I usually am when I'm not going through this, so it really is a struggle dealing with the weakness on a monthly basis. >.<
I don't like taking medication at all or messing with my hormones ( let alone risk making my body rely on drugs the rest of my life, as I want my body to learn to produce a balance on its own ). Therefore, it's my personal choice to not want any birth control or whatever. So... what about tips on like... fruits or other plant foods that could help? I eat bananas pretty often, but I've heard strawberries work really well and stuff.
Maybe I'm also getting real tired of the same old routine every month when this happens... prepare self in bathroom, get heating pad, take vitamins packed with iron / vitamin C / B12 all in one, be stuck in my lounging chair at my computer for a few days barely able to walk, take naps, try to be gluten-free just in case, the whole works. @_@
That said, my question/request still remains. Do any of you followers have any advice on making this natural (but super annoying) experience less miserable or bothersome?
