today marks the 5th year of my brother's passing. it was unbelievably difficult to get back on my feet after such a personal loss. i struggled for years trying to find the right path that would make me feel whole again, but i remembered a time when i asked him what he dreamt of becoming in the future and he told me that he wanted to be a music producer. music was the one thing that really helped us bond, and if it wasn't for him, i wouldn't be in love with music as much as i am now. i'm doing this for myself, but most importantly, i'm doing this for him as well--to make his dreams come true even though he has found his place in Heaven. there's not a day that goes by without thinking about my other half. losing someone so close to you will always leave a void in your chest, but you have to reassure yourself that you need to keep going and be the best you can be to bring positive light back into your life.
