“Heh heh!! My fire covered everything in sight! Did you see that, Meis?!”

“Yeah, we really lit the city this time.”

Dust hung in the air as three motorcycles came to a stop. The location could almost be considered a wasteland. Or the closest thing to a wasteland in that setting. A group of nearly a dozen more motorcycles owned by armored figures were also parked close-by in front of what appeared to be one of the only two buildings in the vicinity. They were the Mad Burnish and this was their current home.

“I bet my flames were higher than yours!!”

“Get rekt! No way!!”

“You couldn’t even reach the top of a light pole!”

“Enough!!”

The leader’s sharp voice interrupted the squabbling of the two lackeys.

“What happened today was poorly coordinated. If I were not there, you both would have been imprisoned. Next time think before you start taunting a member of the Freeze Force!”

The dust settled behind him as he walked off with heavy steps, but now a new pressure hung in the air.

“Y’think he’s mad?”

“Yeah. He’s definitely mad.”

The leader parted ways with his two lieutenants and walked into the closer of the abandoned buildings, as they kept their distance outside. His footsteps echoed down its narrow halls. He was now alone.
