A  finger  drums  against  her  chin  as  she  considered  the  query,  admittedly  giving  little  thought  to  the  delight  she  took  in  food.  Bright  eyes  peer  up  towards  the  other,  giving  them  an  inquisitive  stare  as  she  worked  through  her  own  musings  to  come  up  with  an  answer.  “ Mm,  well  ….   ”  She  hums  thoughtfully,  “      I  suppose,  its  questions  like  those  that  have  created  a  need  for  religion.  The  mysteries  of  life,  if  you  so  will.   ”  The  pair  had  been  seated  outside  a  stand,  chatting  over  bowls  of  noodles.  Hungry  eyes  look  to  dig  away  at  her  meal  as  she  looks  to  them.  “   If  I  ever  find  out  a  God  exists,  I,  personally,  will  thank  them  for  noodles  because  yummy!     ”  She  chuckles  and  stirs  her  chopsticks  around.

“      And  then  I’d  probably  give  them  an  ear  or  two  about  the  things  other  creatures  eat.     "

“Well, well,” V began, the cane that was tapping alongside with every step of his coming to a rest. V had no aim today - no demons to slaughter, no ritual to chase. All he wanted was a nice walk among the park, where greenery bloomed. There was nothing like this in the depths of the underworld that he had lived in for years on end. “I suppose this would make it our third meeting? Perhaps it is fate?”

    “How about a break?” Anthony chimes in, hoping closer to the jeweler “Magic isn’t a simple thing to learn so I must say, while it is good to strive to do better, you did amazingly well on your first attempts!” There is a chance this might’ve just been Plum voicing his desire to improve, but Anthony knows how dangerous of a thought this one would be for his younger friend.

    Positive feedback was what he needed the most right now, and the white rabbit is more than happy to give him some, considering learning magic was no small task.

    “So give yourself a pat on the back on this one! And let’s get some ice cream to commemorate the sucess of your first lesson” Even if Plum hadn’t accomplished any spell, he was learning, this was already a huge step in Anthony’s eyes.

❝ Divus... ❞ The fellow staff member wheeled themselves over towards the other, a rather displeased look upon their face as they glared to him. ❝ I suppose the last name fits you with how you act "cruel" to some of the students. Mostly to one that was CLEARLY sick today. ❞ The student in question was already sent to the nurse's office thankfully, but Plum still had concerns for poor Leona. ❝ What made you think it was okay for Leona to even attend class? ❞

     It was a tone  NONE  too friendly laced with displeasure and agitation and akin to one that you might scold a student with. He was in trouble and to be quite honest— it was absolutely hilarious. How long had it been since he were in such a situation ? The receiving end of upset teachers were the stories of  YEARS  ago. There was no stopping the chuckle that fled his lips as broken rules and snide comments resurfaced in his mind. Adults  LOST  at how little he feared the threat of expulsion. Ah—— but this wasn’t about him now. Not exactly.

          “ A good afternoon to you too, my fellow professor. Now I  DO  recall that I never claimed to be ‘ un-cruel ’. Quite frankly, I rather enjoy living up to my name. ” There was nothing in his face that showed this was anything short of  AMUSING.  Carefree grin and half-lidded eyes that shone with mischief. “ In my humble defense, I’m no stranger to Leona trying to skip out on my class. He’s feigned being sick in the past and I’d  HATE  for him to miss such very important lessons on account of his unwilling participation. Now, wouldn’t you say it’s rather  KIND  of me to care so much that my students pass ? ”

Rui blinks at the slayer, but leans into her arms. He’s really enjoying the attention and affection.

Rui makes a soft, happy noise when Hollow rests their head on his. He reaches up and gently pats their face in return.

Rui turns and gives Nezuko the biggest hug he can muster; knowing that she can withstand it, since she’s a demon as well. He smiles and lets out a happy sigh.
