.　　  ❄︎   it seems like the island of watatsumi is perpetually coloured the vast palette of seafoam   -   pinks and purples and aquas and blues.  it’s been too long since ayaka has seen the beautiful glory of it, and she really must thank chongyun for asking about making a visit to the island before his return to liyue.  

when she turns to smile at him, she finds that he’s already looking at her.  ayaka blinks and wonders if she may have something on her face, but then he leans in and brushes his lips against her cheek, and suddenly it all makes sense.  her hand immediately goes to her cheek when his lips pull away, and ayaka looks at chongyun for a long minute as her heart stutters in her chest.  the sky colours itself an orange pink with the setting sun, and finally she smiles.  ❝    the beauty of this place is overwhelming.  ❞  she murmurs, her hand falling if only to hold lightly onto his.  ❝    it must have affected the romantic in you.  ❞

“Daddy still has to work while Papa stays home and recovers from his surgery! So I have to help Papa out and it’s really fun! I make him go for a walk every afternoon after lunch because he needs to move! He makes me breakfast and I help him get down everything cause he’s not supposed to reach! Then, after cartoons, we have lunch!”

Yup. She’s about to tell you her whole day. 

“I help with that too! Then, our walk! Then, after that, we come back and he makes tea for himself and I get hot chocolate! Afterwards, Papa is pretty worn out so he barely gets through half of his tea before he falls asleep for a nap.”

“Then, after that, I let him sleep and usually Daddy is home an hour later! Daddy then wakes him and tells him to go lay out in the bed for a bit. He usually helps Papa to the bed. ...I think Papa is having a rougher time than they thought he would.”
