Fu Hua’s voice is soft as she remains in bed for yet another day, her injuries continuing to ache. Still, she at least knows that her recovery is undoubtedly in progress, as slow as it may be. It only emphasized the true gravity of the injuries she had suffered at the hands of her students. Eyes closed, a soft sigh leaving the adeptus’s lips--Her azure eyes open half-liddedly, before she manages to use what little energy still within her to turn her head to face Lin Zhaoyu.

when a weathered diary falls upon her desk, her first instinct is to peruse its contents, skimming the anecdotes and imprinting into her memory the primitive maps drawn on parchment. before she was ever appointed tianquan, ningguang was an inquisitive individual who often satiated her curiosity with research and adventure. though she had never truly frolicked about teyvat with naught but the clothes on her back and the stars as her guide, a sense of wanderlust lay dormant within her ( it’s why she always needles outlanders for stories of their travels, to at least live voraciously through the lens of another, if for but a moment ) on a rare day meant for herself, ningguang clutches the journal to her side, spending half a day traveling towards mount aozang where hidden treasure lay untouched and hidden. she comes to a point where the poorly drawn maps begin to lead her in circles, and it is there she allows herself to rest under the shade of a tree, her guidebook open on her lap. “ hmm, i wonder if i took a wrong turn somewhere. ”

     Aether  is  not  an  individual  that  prides  himself  in  being  religious,  but  because  he  is  considered  a  god  of  the  wandering  stars,  he’d  find  that  to  be  a  bit  too  self-centering.  However,  the  Favonius  Cathedral  holds  a  much  more  personal  significance  in  his  views;  commissions.  Or  Mora,  in  this  case.  He  doesn’t  have  a  stable  income  that  isn’t  helping  random  people  and  looting  random  monsters  to  eat  something  on  the  road.  Unfortunately  for  Aether,  he  is  here  for  none  of  these  things  and  quickly  runs  into  the  church  when  he  sees  the  sky  start  to  darken  with  the  menacing  promise  of  rain.

     ❝  Ah,  crap  ---  ❞  He  slides  right  at  the  moment  he  hears  the  clap  of  thunder  behind  him,  his  entrance  into  the  church  loud  as  his  boots  squeaking  against  the  tile  floors.  Aether  feels  something  collide  with  him,  his  hands  immediately  shooting  out  to  stable  the  person  in  front  of  him.  The  moment  his  eyes  see  the  young  girl,  his  features  soften  instantly,  and  his  big  brother  instincts  kick  his  ass.

     ❝  Hey,  are  you  alright?  ❞  His  voice  is  filled  with  worry,  but  he  isn’t  accusing  her  of  anything  when  they  crashed.  ❝  Are  you  hurt?  I’m  sorry  for  running  into  you  like  that.  ❞

Cloud retainer supposed that if there was one person she needed to see in this form, it was her....acquaintance. Though the other’s over enthusiasm on being ‘companions’ did leave the adepti more than annoyed on more than one occasion, at the very least she wanted to see the girl’s reaction. Yes, it should be a surprise that she decided to follow in Moon Carver’s and Mountain Shaper’s footsteps.

“Child,” She addresses Yukine whens he arrives at the mountain, sitting in her assigned seat at the table. “You did bring this one Jewel soup, yes?”

ningguang’s lips purse as she sends the woman a pointed look at the obvious jab at their previous encounter. was she mocking her by reminding ningguang of her previous blunder? ( she hopes not ) “ no, i haven’t stumbled upon any unearthed treasures or weathered maps, but perhaps you’ll be the first to know should i find any— ” a coy smile appears on her face, eyes hooded as she leans closer “ —why do you ask? are you planning to lead me astray, again? ”
